It’s a pretty small percentage of runners who willingly do track workouts on their own… and an even smaller percentage who actually enjoy them. 🤪

But if you want to see your speed change, they matter.

And honestly, that’s a big part of why I offer a weekly track workout.

One consistent time each week for people to come together, get coached through a purposeful workout, push themselves, encourage each other, and get better—while making something that can feel like a total drag on your own a whole lot more fun.

And it works.

People keep showing up. They get faster. They get more confident. They learn how to train—not just how to run harder. And they have a community to share the hard days, the exciting days, the why are we doing this? days, and the growth in between.

Today, I was out on the track doing my own set of 800s, and I definitely carried a little bit of that Tuesday night community energy with me.

Sometimes the hardest part of getting faster is simply having a reason to show up and people who expect you to. 🫶🏼

That’s what Team LL Health Run Club is all about.

If you want to get faster, stronger, and more confident in your running without having to figure it all out on your own, come run with us.

Tuesdays • 6:30–7:30 PM • Westwood Track
All paces welcome—including walk/run.
Track workout + coaching + community + optional post-run yoga.

You bring yourself. We’ll bring the workout, the accountability, and the people to help you through it. 🏃🏼‍♀️💪🏼

The cat’s out of the bag! 🐈

I’m officially seeing clients one-on-one and in small groups at PEX, Westwood’s newest gym space!

For years, I’ve watched runners struggle with overuse injuries—not simply because they run, but because years of running and everyday life can create strength imbalances, movement compensations, and weak links.

That’s what led me to expand my work beyond running and into personalized strength and movement training.

My goal is simple: help you understand how your body moves, uncover where you’re lacking strength or stability, and build from where you are—so you can move better, feel stronger, and pursue the activities you love.

Around the same time, I realized this isn’t just a runner problem.

Whether you run, play a sport, lift, chase kids, sit at a desk, or simply want to feel stronger and more capable in everyday life, your body deserves intentional training, too.

Now I’m helping clients uncover their weak links, build from where they are, and start to feel good in their bodies again.

Whether you’re a runner looking to stay healthy and run more efficiently, someone navigating aches and limitations, or simply feeling a little lost in your fitness journey, we’ll start with where you are—not where you think you should be.

For a limited time, I’m offering FREE movement assessments at PEX Westwood.

We’ll look at how you move, identify opportunities to improve, and talk about how personalized training could support your goals.

Ready to feel stronger and more capable in your body? Reach out to book your assessment.

This is what run club is all about. 🏃‍♀️💙

Different paces. Different goals. Different reasons for showing up—but we all get to the starting line together.

The miles matter, but so do the conversations, the laughs, the high fives, the encouragement, and the people who make you want to keep coming back.

The crew is back. And I couldn’t be happier. 💙

This year’s Falmouth Road Race was my first since committing to a consistent, targeted strength program—a commitment two years in the making. It gave me a chance to reflect not only on the race itself, but also on what I’m learning as a master’s runner focused on training for the long term.

1. The little things add up.
Strength. Mobility. Easy miles. Recovery. The days you do something even when you don’t feel like it. It all matters.
2. Consistency beats perfection.
Progress comes from showing up week after week—not one perfect workout.
3. Easy really needs to be easy.
Save your effort for when it matters. Recovery is part of training, not time away from it.
4. Strength supports your running.
Strong hips, glutes, calves, feet and core help you handle the miles and stay strong when fatigue sets in.
5. Strength takes patience, too.
Stability, balance, control and confidence are built over time by repeating the basics.
6. Fueling is training.
You can’t expect your body to perform without enough energy. And race-day fueling should be practiced long before race day.
7. Your race probably won’t go exactly as planned.
Heat, hills, fatigue, crowds—or just a “not today” day. Learning to adapt is part of being a strong runner.
8. The goal is bigger than one race.
I want to build a body that can keep running, lifting, moving and doing the things I love for decades.

That’s what “Train for Life” means to me.

You don’t have to be perfect.
You just have to keep showing up. ❤️

Today’s training plan called for 800m repeats on the track.

Today’s LIFE plan? Clients. Orientations. Driving kids. Dog appointments. And not nearly enough time for a proper warm-up + track workout.

So I pivoted.

30-minute run.
5 hill sprints at the end.
Done. ✔️

Was it the workout on my plan? No.
Do I feel guilty about changing it? No.
Did I still hit the basic purpose of what I wanted to accomplish? Just barely—but yes. 😂
How do I feel about it? Damn proud that I didn’t cave and skip the whole thing.

Because consistent small things, done over and over again, create BIG results over time.

I see so many people get stuck in an all-or-nothing mindset:

I don’t have an hour, so why bother.
I can’t do the workout exactly as written, so I’ll do it tomorrow.
This week is crazy. I’ll start again Monday.

But adapting isn’t failing. Adapting is how you stay consistent.

And yes, I have an advantage here—I’m a trainer, so I know how to pivot a workout and still accomplish what I need to accomplish.

But I’d argue that’s also one of the biggest reasons to HAVE a trainer.

I have one! Shoutout to Body By Tanya . 💪 I text her when something feels off, when I’m overtired, when something hurts, or when life simply gets in the way. She helps me adjust the plan, and we keep moving forward.

That’s coaching.

Not demanding perfection.
Not giving up when Plan A doesn’t work.
Finding Plan B and doing the damn thing.

Do what you can today. Then do something again tomorrow.

Better yet, find someone who can help you put all those little pieces together, hold you accountable, and keep you moving forward.

That’s where the magic happens. 💫

Summer 2026 ☀️⚾️🌊🎶

A summer full of baseball, boats, beach days, concerts, late nights, early mornings, sunsets, and a whole lot of time together.

The kind of summer that goes by way too fast… but leaves you with a camera roll full of memories. ❤️

Grateful for this crew and all the places, people, and little moments that made this one a good one.

Bring on fall. 🍂

Well… this one was a little unexpected. 😂

I didn’t have a bib for Falmouth, but somehow I held out hope that I’d figure out a way to get to that starting line. Then I got a number in late July, picked up the intensity started feeling good with the base I had built, and thought… maybe I should actually train for this thing.

So I did.

And then, two weeks out, I tweaked my back and wasn’t even sure I’d be able to run.

But somehow, I made it to the start line. And I ran strong.

Not the race I originally had in my head, but honestly? I’m pretty damn proud of this one.

Because this race ended up being so much less about a time and so much more about the people who helped me get there.

❤️ My husband, who supports all of my crazy running adventures. Ryan Leonard
❤️ My kids, who made the sweetest signs and cheered me on. Charlotte Leonard
❤️ My trainer, who helped me get stronger mentally and physically Body By Tanya
❤️ My chiropractor, who helped put me back together when my back decided otherwise. 😂 Dr. Mike, Dr. Bien, and Dr. Molly
❤️ My incredible friend Lisa Falkson and her family, who made the entire day so much more special. Lisa Falkson
❤️ And my parents, who showed up and made the day even more memorable. Mike Franco

I had hoped I’d get to that starting line. I trusted that somehow I would.

And when I finally got there, I reminded myself that strong doesn’t always mean fast.

Sometimes strong is showing up when the plan falls apart.
Sometimes it’s trusting your body.
Sometimes it’s letting go of the goal you had and being proud of the race you were able to run.

And sometimes it’s realizing how lucky you are to have an amazing village behind you.

So thank you, Falmouth, for an incredible day. And thank you to everyone who helped make this old lady feel strong again. 💙👟
