Scores from Yesterdays Rimfire Sporter Fun Match

Results from today's match:
We had a great showing today with 14 Shooters coming out. We had a dry offhand, followed by a l;ight drizzle during sitting., We had a 45 min rain delay before finishing the match in sauna-like conditions. We had a bunch of solid scores today. I somehow won with a 492-29x, including a personal best 200-15x slow prone. Goes to show you can still win with a 7 offhand. Joe Hensdricks SR. came in 2nd in his first match of the year with a 490-28x including a 200-19x slow prone. The current NRA national record stands at 200-18x Slow Prone (also shot by Joe). Either way he should be getting a 9x and 10x stick from white oak. Rich Hildebrand took 3rd with a 489-20x and was high service rifle. Frank Wasco joined us to take 4th with a 487-21x. CHris Catlin brought his dad out to shoot AR-Tactical and his dad managed a 450. I'm extremely pleased with both the turn-out and scores this year. Our club matches continue to grow and become more competitive. Next match is Fathers Day 6/21 and will be an 80 shot match.

As a follow up on the may 17th leg match at reade 3 MSCI league members took the top 3 spots. All 3 tied and were only separated by Xs

Results from Todays Rimfire Sporter Match. We had 6 shooters show up for a beautiful day. Match ran smooth and was lots of fun. Huge thanks to Dave Williams for running the line.

MSCI Gun Bash tix available @ club house after rifle matches

Saturday 5/30 we will host a Rimfire Sporter fun match. This is a shoot what you got match (no rifle restrictions). We have the range til 1 so we can shoot a 2nd match if there is interest.

Got to coach a 14 year old jr today. Jon has a background in small bore. Mike kenndy loaned him a rifle and he used all my shooting gear

Hes been shooting some local matches and practice and shot a 754-19x even managing to be my match rifle slow prone with a service rifle.

Results from Todays Match,
15 guys came out today and 13 decided to shoot. We had a slight delay as rain began to fall. We were able to get canopies up and they served. the 10x30 canopy had some broken cross members but held for the match. We will need to replace it if its in the budget.
Ed alymyer won the match with a 781-28x after shooting a 6 in his first shot offhand. He cleaned both rapid and slow prone. I took 2nd with a777-31x (cheater rifle score) after a meh offhand and letting 1-2 point get away in each stage after. PJ took 3rd with a 775-28x. He had a few bleeder scores in rapids that put him just shy of HM. Mike Schmidty shot a personal best 739-8x with a "match rifle" that was an MK-12 clone. Dick Graw joined us and shot a 748-12x but biffed his last shot standing for a goose egg. Mime kennedy had an oopsie putting 8 shots on the target next to him. That Hurts.
After the last shot the sun came out....
We are off for about a month for XTC but some big matches are coming up. Next week is both Reade and Solon 5/16. Clairton will have an 88 shot on 5/17. The following week Alliance hosts the buckeye blossom with a 1000 agg sunbday and leg match monday.
5/30 we will have our first rimfire sporter of the season.
