Congratulations and Happy Anniversary Lori Scott Yoga! I will always hold this beautiful space close to my heart 💜 — it’s not only where I began my yoga teaching journey, but also where I discovered the true power of community… 🧘🏻♀️
So much has happened in our beautiful sacred space in just 1 year. Over 650 classes (that’s over 650 savasanas - wow!) ... 20 new Yoga Instructors have graduated here, we have seen 365 sunrises & 365 sunsets through these windows, had countless laughs, shed some tears, and experienced profound healing. Lori Scott Yoga is not just a yoga studio and it's NOT about touching your toes or doing headstands. It’s about discovering ways to find peace through life's challenges on and off your yoga mat.
I’m so proud of everyone who has walked through these doors to show up. Yoga is not a work-OUT, it’s a work-IN and it’s not easy to do the work sometimes. I’m so proud of every instructor who showed up to make a difference and teach great yoga. Thank you to every single yogi who has shown support during these uncertain times. resolutions vs. intentions
💫
The former focuses on actions and goals, while the latter focuses on behavior.
💫
My resolution for 2022 is to “run more.” In a given week, that might mean getting in a 3rd run — even if it’s really cold out! On a given day, that might mean continuing for an extra 1/2 mile before returning home.
💫
It’s a simple goal that I know holds many benefits — less stress, better sleep, stronger body…
💫
My intention for 2022 is to “be more patient” — both with myself and others. Living patiently means taking more time to understand where other people are coming from and withholding judgement about them.
💫
It also means allowing my body the time it needs to rest and recover when it needs a break.
💫

My wish for you this holiday season — celebrate however you choose, create your own rituals, and honor that which is sacred to you. ❤️ Focus your energy on the things you CAN control and allow the rest to just BE.
