Friday Aug 14th at 7 pm the pit gate will open at 2pm.

*Mad Dog award for each class in memory of Dean Woodson, Darren Morgan, Shane Shafer and Gary Misak all these trophies came out really good and are one of a kind, just like each of these guys were.. Gone but not forgotten!

*Concessions and a beer garden on site.

It saves time from you calling me and I having to read the rules to you. If you have a question feel free to call, but please read the rules first.. I don't inspect cars over the phone or with pictures.

Power Wheel Class the top 3 will receive a trophy.. Please line your Power wheel up at the pit gate entrance (look for the Neon sign), sign in, and sign the waiver form. Make sure to bring a helmet and read the rules.

Pratt County Fair 2026 in the books. Big thank you to the Pratt County Fair Association and especially Heather Winklepleck. She did a phenomenal job behind the scenes coordinating this event and countless hours were spent. As always, thank you to the Crunch Time crew. Big thanks to Troy Swonger for coming out of retiremen, marketing the derby to local sponsors, raising the prize money pot and officiating the derby. Thanks to Joe Rhone and Micheal Becker for getting the Mad Dog Trophies and Jason Cline's family for being the Mad Dog judges. But most of all, big thanks to the drivers. Plenty of time to reset and get ready for the Harper Shrine Demo Derby on Friday, August 14th with the following classes: Power Wheels, Youth bone stock compacts, Adult bone stock compact, Full-sized bone stock and weld class. Rules are posted. There's a flyer and info on my main page with payouts, admission, and gate fees, etc. It will start at 7pm with gates opening at 2pm.

The power wheel Demo Derby is always a fan favorite! All the kids left with something.. A big shout out to Todd Morgan for bringing his side-by-side out and handing out candy/prizes to those in the stands and to all the participants. Results from the 2026 Sedgwick County Fair.

PIT Entrance East of the arena. Please park as close as you can to one another with only one support vehicle per demo car. Pit crew personnel need to park outside the gate. There's limited space already in the pit area.

As usual, the Sedgwick County Fair board is great to team with and we are already planning to have an even more successful event in 2027! Big thank you to all the Figure 8 and Bump and Run drivers that showed up Friday night at the Sedgwick County Fair. A "track chaser" was there..(that is what they're called?) They go around filming at Figure 8 tracks and ovals all over the country, he was from California. He's going to be uploading the videos soon and I will post a link to those to watch it on YouTube and follow his page.

POWER WHEEL RULES



Rules:

1. Any regular electric Power Wheel is allowed. No 4 wheeler type vehicles allowed. Child's legs must be in a compartment. Ride in not ride on!

2. Kids 3-12 years of age may participate.

3. Helmets must be worn.

4. The power wheel is allowed to have UP TO a 12 volt lawn mower battery, which cannot be mounted in the passenger seat must be in a secure area and battery must be secured and sealed away from the
child.

5. All doors and tailgates must be strapped shut. No sharp edges. Use zip ties or duct tape or other flexible product for making them stay shut.

6. Tires may be covered in duct tape to prevent them from breaking. NOTHING ELSE MAY BE ADDED. Do not raise and suspension or body for height.

7. Motor must remain stock. The only modification you may use and will be allowed is using a lawn mower battery.

8. Decorative changes can be made to the Power Wheel to make it look like a derby car, however, there can be no reinforcement to the power wheel. Changes and additions are only decorative. example: header pipes sticking up, painting the car, etc.

9. At all times remember that this is for kids! Don't add something that could cause them not to be in the derby. You could be a disappointed if your child is not allowed to run for safety concerns.
