Today we made it to our 8th state, Illinois! This morning we rode out of St. Louis and stopped at a friendship visit along the way. In the picture is Brenda, who was one of the dozens of people at the visit. She is holding a monkey that she knitted for us! I'll be uploading pictures of St. Louis when we get some better service.

The countdown has begun! 30 days until we arrive in D.C.! The past few days we have experienced heat over 100 degrees which has been difficult to ride in. Other than that, Kansas has been great!

The past couple days have been amazing! On Friday we had an off day in Yellowstone National Park where we had the entire day to explore the park. Saturday, we rode 135 miles over the Grand Tetons to Jackson, Wyoming where we had another off day on Sunday. Today, we rode 90 miles from Jackson to Dubois, Wyoming. I've attached some pictures from all of these days.

Help TransAmerica route be the first team to ride onto the capitol lawn in D.C!
This summer there is a fundraising competition between the three Journey of Hope routes: North, South, and TransAmerica. Whichever team raises the most overall from now until August 12th will have the honor of being the first team to arrive onto the capitol lawn. All donations are greatly appreciated and continue to help us and the Ability Experience raise money and awareness for people with disabilities.
If you wish to donate, click on the link below (be sure to include "TransAmerica" somewhere in your comment). Thank you to everyone who has supported our trip so far. This wouldn't be possible without your help!

Sorry I haven't been posting much but thankfully our lodging tonight has some wifi!
We started our journey 8 days ago in Seattle, Washington and we have already made it over 600 miles to Sandpoint, Idaho. So far the trip has been tough but I'm sure that will change after we get use to the 75+ miles each day. The one picture attached is Mt. Rainier, which has been our toughest ride so far at 125 miles with over 9,000ft of climbing.
Tomorrow we will be riding 90 miles to Thompson Falls, Montana. Stay tuned for more pictures in the next couple days.
