[08/01/20]   Important infomation from the Dockmasters office of Schooner Island Marina.
With the pending unpredictable storm this Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday we are asking that all our boat owners take precautions to prepare for this storm. Now is the time to make sure your boat has the proper lines and they are positioned in the best locations to protect your boat. Secure all loose items including those often forgotten bow and helm custions. Canvas enclosures are always a problem so please secure them or take them down. This is also a good time to test your bilge pumps and make sure they are working with your float switches and are set in the automatic mode. As of today the forecast predicts that we could be facing some strong winds and several inches of rain, so take a little time to prepare your boat. We are also asking that you secure your dock box lids and all your personal property on the docks. Remove all "Portable" fuel tanks from Small Boats and Inflatables. Flying objects can cause damage to surrounding boats and injury to our staff and guest. Our staff will be working and we will do our best to keep everything secure but Please understand that we will not risk injury to save a piece of canvas. Keep checking our page for weather updates that can effect your boat and property at Schooner Island Marina. Any Questions or Concerns Please Contact The Ship Store or Dockmasters Office
