Ozark Foothills 100 Miles in St. Louis

Words will not be able to properly convey my appreciation for the event you put on over the last two days. While I only ran the 50 km race, my appreciation for what you accomplished under unbelievably awful circumstances was something truly to marvel.
I was almost brought to tears several times as I approached the aid stations in the middle of the night. In multiple years of endurance events, I’ve never seen volunteers give so much of their time, energy and support while freezing cold and soaking wet. In this instance, I can literally say that most of us would not have finished any of the distances were it not for them.
Finally, in endurance events, I think that most of us are searching for something truly epic. I can definitively say that the event you put on was truly epic and some thing I will never forget.

Friday, April 9, 2021 Ozark Foothills 100 with Coree Aussem-Woltering - Athlete a day after setting the FKT on the Pinhoti trail (also with the FKT across Wisconsin on the Ice Age Trail) sat for a beer and a little Q & A with runners. Hosted by Terrain Trail Runners-STL.
A shoutout to the wonderful volunteer at the Roundhouse aid station that made me PB&J after my uncrustable fell in the mud....thank you sooo much! You are awesome and that sandwich rocked my world! And thank you to all the other volunteers ! You guys were all amazing! 💛 🏃🏼♀️

Ozark Foothills 50Mi/50K/25K trail race is hosted on the second weekend in April each year at Greensfelder County Park, in western St. Louis County, Missouri.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The Ozark Foothills 50Mi, 50k and 25k are simultaneous trail races that will be held across the scenic and technical trails laying at the foothills of the gently rolling Ozark mountain range.
This is a challenging course of steep grades and rolling terrain. Runners will be treated to 95 percent single-track with rocks, roots and creek crossings that make for a fairly technical 25k loop.
** Trails include Deer Run, Eagle Valley, Green Rock, Scenic Osage Overlook, Beulah, DeClue and Dogwood**
** The Ozark Foothills 50k is two loops and 25k is one loop and the 50Mi runners will start out on the Dogwood Loop come through Start/Finish then follow the 50K/25K loop X 3 to complete the 50Mile distance**

In addition, we are proud to be part of the 50K Mashup series of ultra races held throughout the Midwest. Those who register for and complete five of the seven 50K Mashup races in a calendar year will receive a belt buckle, along with the chance to win awards given out to the top three male and top three female finishers based on their cumulative finish times for all the races.
