The Peak Pass

The Peak Pass

Peak Pass no more...
For those looking for a season pass option, I talked to 7 Springs and they had a semiflexible option. They don't do payment plans right now, but they have a workaround. Apparently if one person buys a pass now at the early bird rate, you can add other family members later on at the early season rate. So you can do a "payment" to a savings account and buy it later when you save up.

I asked a couple clarifying questions and I'm waiting to hear back. But this at least looks like an option that may work for some.

They and their sister resorts bcc again have multipacks that you can buy 6 or 7 tickets up front at a discount then they're good anytime. I believe the Super 7 pack is good at all 3 resorts, while the 6 pack is only good at HV and LM.
Anyone else get a phone call from Liberty reminding them of the deadline with purchasing the Peak pass?... No, just me? 😜😂
I'm going to miss night skiing and McKee's, but with NoVA traffic Wisp is almost as easy to get to anyway

We need to contact Fox43 and ask to do a follow up story! The need to get as many phone calls from you as they can!!!

We hear you! We'll do what we can to bring back the local pass.

Upset that Peak is trying to force you to buy a season pass for significantly more $$$ and justifying it by adding mountains you have never wanted to, nor will ever ski ?

Nice work with the social distancing today Whitetail Resort 🙄 So glad you trimmed the fat and let go of all of your competent employees. You know, the ones who know how to keep your lift operating on one of the busiest weekends of the winter when there’s snow on the ground in DC. But go ahead and add some more ticket checkers when there’s a 2hr wait for rentals. ,

For those of you upset about the price of children's passes this winter, Epic has a NE Value Pass for 5-6 year olds that is not posted on-line. Its only $49 and you have to call (970) 754-0005 to get it. 03/03/2020

Northeast Value Pass | Epic Season Pass

Good news from Vail. It might not be a truly “local” pass but it’s a step in the right direction. We are excited to launch the new Northeast Value Pass ($599 for adults, $449 for Teens & Seniors, and $419 for College), which gives skiers and riders the flexibility and value to ski our best Northeast resorts and more, by offering the following access and benefits: 09/30/2019

Purdue Pharma family profits from sale of ski resorts in regions plagued by opioid addiction

It’s hard to understate how much Peak sucked. Glad their gone, hopefully the state AGs get some of that money back. The Richard Sackler branch of the family will reap about $60 million after the Peak Resorts deal, according to SEC disclosures. 09/24/2019

Epic Local Pass

Its official, Peak Resorts are now included in the Epic Pass. The Epic Local Pass provides unlimited days to the former Peak/Snowtime resorts. The $719 price tag is still hard to swallow but at least they're not claiming Hunter and Mt. Snow justify the increase. Let's keep on Vail and maybe we can get back to our more reasonable 3 mountain pass next year. Prices go up Oct.13 *Access to Telluride and Resorts of the Canadian Rockies is not included on the Epic Local Pass. Looking for access to these resorts? Click here. 09/10/2019

3X Multi-Visit Program | Whitetail Resort Live

Attention weekend warriors, if you were disappointed in the price increase on your season pass, here’s a decent alternative. You could still get 9 days at the cost of your 2018 pass and 12 days for less than that garbage Peak Pass they tried to force on us. If you’re planning on more days it’s not so great but you never know how one of our Mid-Atlantic winters is going to go. Tickets are valid any day of the 2019-20 season, including holidays and weekends, with absolutely no blackout dates whatsoever!

Epic Pass

Last chance to get the Epic pass at the low price. It’s good at all Peak Resorts this winter. I think the Epic Local is the way to go but read the fine print first, it’s not clear if there are any restrictions for former Peak Resorts. Hopefully Vail will listen to its customers and off us a PA only pass next year.

Only a few hours left to get the lowest price on your Season Pass! Ski Vail, Whistler Blackcomb, Park City, Breckenridge and more this winter. Buy before Monday at midnight! 05/06/2019

The Sackler family’s involvement in Mt. Snow stirs controversy

Sackler ownership of Peak Resorts has been picked up by the Boston Globe. Members of the Sackler family — whose pharmaceutical company makes Oxycontin — have become the largest shareholders of publicly-traded Peak Resorts, Mt. Snow’s owner. 05/03/2019

New "Snowpass" Will Be The World’s Biggest Mega Pass Good At 100 Ski Resorts

There are lots of problems with the mega pass but Peak keeps falling well short of the other available options in both locations and price. The new Snowpass is going to have 100 European resorts for $440. Snowpass is a European-wide season ski pass offering that will be good at 100 ski resorts spread over 8 countries. No Off Season For Peak Resorts' Jesse Boyd

From Forbes interview with Jesse Boyd;

"Q: How has the ski industry changed over the years in terms of customer loyalty and customer satisfaction?

A: Customer loyalty is a big part of growing and maintaining our business. For Peak Resorts, customer loyalty starts with our season pass offering, the Peak Pass. We wanted to offer a pass that was affordable and gave our guests great value, while was also being flexible and easy to understand. Our Peak Pass offers unlimited skiing and riding at all of our resorts all season long, which in the case of Mount Snow and Wildcat can start as early as October and run as late as April or May. Our Peak Pass holders are our most important and loyal guests."

I know a few hundred people who think that the Peak Pass is a slap in the face to loyal customers. G*Y Jesse A ski resort needs to be multi-functional in this day and age in order to remain solvent. The majority of ski resorts offer a variety of activities such as mountain biking, water parks, zip lines and concerts in order to attract crowds during the non-skiing season. 04/12/2019

Another one about to bite the dust. Ski area consolidation continues in PA.

"The leadership team had a meeting with us this morning to notify us that Camelback is in the process of being acquired by the KSL and Alterra companies. KSL is a resort and hotel company and Alterra owns numerous ski resorts throughout the country, including Aspen, Stratton, Squaw, Mammoth, Steamboat, Winter Park, Snowshoe, and several others. The other main action this accomplishes is to make the mountain and the hotel part of one company." From an e-mail to Camelback Staff

Considering Jack Frost is a neighbor resort this has potential to significantly reduce the demand for the Peak Pass in the Poconos as the Ikon Pass becomes a better local option.

Some questions about Peaks announcement: were these upgrades planned before purchase (seems likely as they're starting this week and I'm pretty sure those fan guns are on back order); why are you treating the 3 resorts like one entity (probably because this was all arranged before the October sale); and do you get to $3.5 million by grossly overpaying family members as employees on the project (

Sahale Gold Membership | Meadows

Now that's how you sell a season pass and build a new lodge. Peak Resorts should take a lesson - no EB-5 or Sackler/opioid money required and happy customers. In order to raise the funds needed to break ground on Sahale this summer, we are making a limited, initial offering of 1250 Sahale Passes. This is a five-year season pass that must be purchased by May 31, 2019, and provides All Access Pass privileges to Meadows through the 2023/24 season. Your inves... 03/28/2019

'Exceptional year' for Mount Snow

"Mount Snow Communications Manager Jamie Storrs told the Reformer the company does not share the actual number of skier visits at resorts nor individual resort revenue."

Attitash: Summit triple chair repairs not to be completed 'til summer

And the hits keep coming for resorts not named Mt. Snow; Attitash skiers near revolt. “I am just stunned that Peak is not making the investment in the mountain. Literally the dollars they are spending are being shipped out of state to improve Hunter Mountain and Mount Snow.”

Management, “We’ve heard your calls for a new lift to replace the summit triple, and while we appreciate all your feedback, this is not a project our parent company, Peak Resorts, is looking to do in the near future,” BARTLETT — Attitash officials say that despite their best efforts, the Attitash triple summit chairlift will not be reopening this season.

The snow pack is still looking really good at Whitetail. Too bad they're closed. 03/19/2019

Roundtop, other ski resorts see price increases, access to different mountains under new owner A new company has purchased Roundtop (pictured), Liberty and Whitetail resorts in southcentral Pennsylvania, and some local skiers are facing significant price increases on their season passes next year. The new owners, Peak Resorts, say the price increase includes access to more ski resorts.
