On Tuesday September 8, WHS and Williamsburg Runners hosted the 2nd annual Trading Days All ‘A’ at the Whitley County fairgrounds. 10 elementary schools and 6 High schools competed for personal best records and championship trophies. The runners showed up in a BIG way posting some of their fastest runs of the season on our home 2K course. We continue to improve week by week and look forward to hosting again Saturday October 3rd for our 3rd annual Fog River Run. Special thanks to Whitley Co. Fiscal court, TJ Centers, and Judge/Executive Pat White for all their help get our home course race ready and able to host our events!!! Go Runners!

Our season is off to a great start! The Lynn Camp Invitational, McCreary Central All Comers, and KC Panthers Chase have been great races. Our runners are hard at work! They have already shown great growth, including a team first place finish for our boys K-2nd grade boys today! Next up is the Trading Days “All-A” Invitational here in Williamsburg. It isn’t too late to join the team 👀

Here is a great race opportunity for your athlete if interested. This is a fundraiser for SLHS XC. No team scoring, just show up and race!! Awards are given out in the chute based on age divisions. No registration needed. Sounds like a fun opportunity to run and to support a local XC team!!

We are excited for the 2026 cross country season to begin tomorrow!! We practice at the Whitley County Fairgrounds every Monday and Thursday at 6:30. However, the weather bug looks like it may hit us early. We will have updates and announcements here about practice tomorrow.
