Basketball Fans!
It's that time of year again...March Madness! DMA Boy’s Basketball is running a NCAA bracket pool fundraiser. $20 per entry with a 50/50 split to the winner & DMA Boy’s Basketball to support our 3 teams.
Brackets are filled out on CBS Sports website for free. Limit 5 bracket entry per person NCAA tournament seeding is Sunday 3/13 at 6pm. After the seeding is announced, you can fill out a bracket anytime before the start of the 1st round games (Thursday 3/17). The winner will be announced and paid after the NCAA tournament has ended (April 4th); or when brackets are mathematically finished due to points.
Rules and points breakdown are available on the CBS site, but here's a summary.
Points per correct game result
1st Round = 1 pt
2nd Round = 2 pts
3rd Round = 4 pts
4th Round = 8 pts
5th Round = 16 pts
Champion = 32 pts
*Tie breaker is Championship game total score; although this is rarely needed with the points breakdown used.

Just as a reminder: The following message went out in this week's CC- DMA will be holding Underclassmen pictures in three sittings next week. For cadets in Hybrid Cohort A, they will be photographed on Tuesday, February 2nd during their Naval Science class. Cadets in Hybrid Cohort B will be photographed on Thursday, February 4th during their Naval Science class. Lastly, any cadet who is 100% virtual has the opportunity to come to DMA on Tuesday, February 2nd from 12:00-2:00pm. Pictures will be taken in the Mess Hall and Drill deck. An order form will be sent out via the BAND app later this week.

Field Hockey team improved to a 10-3-1 record and reach the Quarterfinals from last year’s team which ended the season 8-7.

Good evening Seahawk Nation,

This fall season is soon coming to a complete end. We had all our teams in the postseason. That is an accomplishment that should make us proud!

Some may say that today was a tough day for DMA athletics. I would challenge such thought as today represented a moment of celebration and love.

Today, our fans comprised of family members, fellow cadets, alumni, and community members attended many of our events to celebrate the wonderful season that our fall athletes had encountered to this point. They witnessed our cadet-athletes giving everything that they had by playing with heart, passion, pride, and love. They witnessed tears from athletes, coaches, and family members. Those tears represented love and the celebration of many accomplishments this year.

Seahawk Nation, we should be proud of ourselves. We should be proud of what our seniors have built in those last 4 years. We should be proud of the future that we're continuing to build.

To all our athletes and coaches, keep your heads up. You have had an amazing season. You created memories with your teammates and coaches that will last a lifetime. The brotherhood and sisterhood among our teams is second to none.

Thank you for giving us so many amazing moments of love and pride this season!

Our football team will learn tomorrow what seed they earned and look to go on a run this postseason.

Lastly, CONGRATULATIONS to Ethan Walther who became a state champion today by winning the Division 2 Cross Country state meet.

Athletes, we said early this year that TOGETHER WE CAN ACHIEVE MORE. Stay strong, stay together, and continue to make us all very proud of you!
