Delaware sanctions girls wrestling with officially recognized state championship The number of girls competing has nearly tripled over three seasons. Next year, the sport will have its first official state championships.

The Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA) is proud to announce that the DIAA Board of Directors has unanimously approved Girls Wrestling as a Level 3 sanctioned championship sport, beginning with the 2026–2027 school year.
