One of our local hockey families recently experienced something no family should ever have to go through.
Our hockey community has always been about so much more than what happens on the ice. We look out for each other, support each other, and come together when a family in our community needs help.
If you're able to donate, share their post, or help in any way, please consider supporting this family as they navigate this incredibly difficult time and begin the process of rebuilding.

The Wilmington Battle website is officially LIVE!
We’re already getting things rolling for the 2027 Spring/Summer season, and our Tryout Registration & Interest Form is now open!
If you’re interested in joining the Wilmington Battle for 2027, please fill out the form below. This will help us get an accurate idea of the interest and potential numbers at each age level.
Interest Form link:

The interest forms are extremely important because the numbers at each age level will determine which teams we’re able to field for the 2027 season.
Once we get closer and have a better picture of those numbers, we’ll release additional information regarding:
🏒 Teams and age levels
🏒 Tryout dates and times
🏒 Ice schedules
🏒 Tournament plans
🏒 Costs and additional season details
For now, if you’re interested, get your player registered so we know you’re out there!
We’re excited to build on what we started, continue growing the Wilmington Battle, and provide players with another opportunity to compete, develop, and play more hockey.

As we honor this important day, we also recognize the contributions of African American players who have helped shape the game of hockey. Trailblazers like Willie O’Ree, the first African American player in the NHL, paved the way for future generations and continue to inspire athletes everywhere. Players such as P.K. Subban, Jarome Iginla, Laila Edwards, and many others have demonstrated excellence, leadership, and a commitment to growing the game.
At Wilmington Battle, we believe that hockey is stronger when everyone feels welcome.
🏒 Hockey Is For Everyone.
We celebrate the diversity that makes our sport and our community better, and we remain committed to creating an environment where every player can learn, compete, and belong.
Happy Juneteenth from the Wilmington Battle!
