Please join us in congratulating our #9 Ellie Sowers on her remarkable achievement of 200 strikeouts during her Fall 25 - Spring 26 season! Ellie collected exactly 100 strikeouts for Fall 25 and 100 strikeouts for Spring 26. It has been an absolute honor watching this humble and hardworking young woman commit to her craft and see such success in the circle. We are so proud of you, Ellie! Thank you for supporting and representing our Cru so fiercely. You're a beast, kiddo! 💪🛡️🥎🔥

🛡️The Cru secured two victories today in pool play and move together into championship Sunday as the #1 seed.

⏰ Game one kicks off at 9:30 am against Shooting Stars Greve.

🥎 The Cru heads to Sterling, VA this weekend to compete in the USSSA-Fastpitch Softball NOVA NIT Tournament!

⏰ First game of pool play on Saturday is scheduled for 9:30 AM against Loudoun Force. Game two is slated for 11 AM against TVA Mizuno - Torres 10U. The bracket schedule for Sunday's games will be determined by Saturday's results.

🐈‍⬛🐕 The Cru is celebrating National Pet Month!

The month celebrates companion animals, promotes pet welfare, and encourages responsible ownership through adoption support and public awareness.

A special shoutout to our #1 Andy Hansen for holding a donation drive for the Wi******er Area SPCA in lieu of gifts for her 10th birthday. Her Crusaders teammates came through big time and contributed very generously to help the cats and pups awaiting their fur-ever homes. ❤️🐾

“Being a mom in the youth sports world is one of the most exhausting and rewarding things you’ll ever do.

It’s balancing work, life, emotions, schedules, practices, lessons, laundry, and somehow still finding enough energy to show up fully for your kids every single day.

And the truth is…loving your athlete isn’t always soft.

Sometimes love looks like accountability. Sometimes it’s the hard conversation after the game. Sometimes it’s refusing to let them quit when things get uncomfortable. Sometimes it’s making them own their attitude, their body language, their preparation, and the way they treat teammates when adversity hits.

Because as moms, we want to protect our babies from failure. We want to make the hurt go away after the bad game, the strikeout, the error, the moment confidence gets shaken. But we also know growth doesn’t happen by avoiding hard things.

That’s the constant pull of motherhood in sports. You want to hug them through the struggle while also teaching them how to fight through it.

And man…when you start watching your kid become resilient, disciplined, confident, coachable, tough — it makes every sacrifice worth it. Watching them slowly become who they’re meant to be is one of the greatest feelings in the world.

So to all the moms carrying the emotional weight of youth sports while still showing up day after day…Happy Mother’s Day.

The rides, the structure, the accountability, the support, the sacrifices, the belief you pour into them when they can’t see it themselves…that matters more than you know.

In game one, #8 Launa Caton sends two to the yard for in-the-park home runs driving in 6 total RBIs! All the girls’ bats were humming along with great performances in the circle from #9 Ellie Sowers and #46 Paisley Keller, and the Cru takes their first game 12-0! 🛡️🥎💪🏻🌸

⏰ First game of pool play is scheduled for 9:20 AM against Loudoun Force 10U. Game two is slated for 12 PM against New Era - Kiser 10U. Bracket play will begin at 1:45 PM.
