We're a local membership based organization working to organize Winston-Salem’s mountain bike community in order to provide continuity and vision for local trail building and build a team and process for properly maintaining our existing trails.

We have had lots of new faces show up after shared a video of some of our new trails at Salem Lake so we'd like to introduce ourselves.

In 2016, we set out to start organizing Winston-Salem’s mountain bike community in order to provide some continuity in trail building practices and have a larger voice to accomplish some lofty goals. We also wanted to build a team and process for properly maintaining our existing trails. Out of our efforts came FORBA (Forsyth Off Road Bicycle Association)

Since then we have been collaborating with trail users and partnering with City/County staff to manage our existing trails and build new ones! We host a monthly meeting where the public can share input on trails and future endeavors, community workdays, and social group rides. We are completely donor funded and every dollar donated goes right back into the trail system.

Thanks for checking us out! See you on the trails.

This Is Our Year - And We Need Your Help We've been building toward this moment for a long time.Since FORBA was founded in 2016, we've been chipping away — managing maintenance, raising a few hundred dollars for signs, then a few thousand for bridges, then landing a formal partnership with the City of Winston-Salem that changed everythin...

Big props to the Tanglewood crew and the Forsyth County Parks and Rec dept for getting this bridge replaced so quickly. The Parks and Rec dept paid for and had the lumber delivered quickly and the crew jumped on the construction. It was only down for a couple of weeks. We really appreciate all of the hard work and cooperation!

We are coming into the thaw part of the freez-thaw cycle which is the worst time to be on the trails. They are going to be slushy and super muddy over the next few days until we get hit with more precipitation. Please give the trails some time to dry out before attempting to ride them. Thanks!
