Hey, everyone!
I’m sure some of you noticed that our phone lines were down for most of the day. We did this intentionally, as someone has hacked into our Verizon account and has since used our voicemail to try to scam our customers out of their money. So with that in mind, we wanted to pop on here and clear some things up:
First of all, we will NEVER ask you to pay us via Zelle, Chime, CashApp, Venmo, etc. Our Point of Sales system accepts those payments in person, but you’ll never hear us ask for them specifically. We will also never ask you to pay us directly through a mechanic’s account.
Second, we ONLY reach out through one of three numbers, two are set up for phone calls and one set up for text. Obviously, (863) 299-9907 has been the shop’s number for decades, and we also have a second, outbound only line (299-9585). Our POS has a service text line at (833) 948-6154, but that’s literally it. If any other number reaches out to you about your bike, please do not respond to them and instead reach out to us as soon as possible.
Lastly, please continue to give us grace as we work with local law enforcement to resolve this issue. We have decided to get rid of our voicemail while we wait for the police to find the person responsible. This whole mess has set us somewhat behind on service turnaround, but we are doing everything we can to get back on schedule ASAP.
If you have any other questions, or if you have any relevant information for the police, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us! Our phone lines are back up, and we’re in the shop 10-5:30. We appreciate you all, and are grateful for your support! 🚴🫶
All our love,
Jessi & Emily
