Dived the USS Ae**us wreck off the coast of North Carolina this week. Originally a Navy cable repair ship, she was sunk in 1988 as part of the state’s artificial reef program. The wreck sits in about 110 feet of water and is broken into several sections, making it easy to navigate but still interesting to explore.

Good viz, plenty of marine life, and a solid dive on one of the many wrecks in the Graveyard of the Atlantic.

From under way to underwater ⚓️🤿”
Diving the wreck of U-352, a German U-boat sunk off the North Carolina coast in 1942, felt personal. Having served on a U.S. Navy submarine — even for just a short bit.

This wasn’t just steel on the seafloor. It was a silent battlefield, a story of lives lived and lost beneath the waves. Floating next to her, I couldn’t help but imagine the tension, the mission, the final moments.

It’s different when you’ve lived inside a hull.
Even briefly, you understand the brotherhood, the risks, and the quiet.

Honored to have visited this historic site and paid silent tribute to the 15 men who remain aboard.

📍U-352 | Depth: ~110 ft | Sunk by USCGC Icarus – 1942

Diving the Lady Luck Wreck in Pompano Beach yesterday was amazing. The engine room was my favorite part - guess the Machinist Mate in me is showing...

Bonaire random non fishy pictures. The 1st photo was my favorite. This is a shot from Rappel Dive Site during the rough topside crashing the wall.
