Last weekend, Gavin Faircloth & Clara Stone competed in Dixie Sailing Club's Punchbowl Regatta, which was also the Catalina 22 Region 3 Championships. Faircloth & Stone finished 2nd in Silver Fleet, racing against competitors who regularly attend C22 Nationals! 🙌🏼🥈 After light winds postponed racing Saturday morning and canceled Sunday morning's races, conditions picked up for some great racing Saturday afternoon! As always, we extend a heartfelt thank you to Dixie Sailing Club for their hospitality & for always welcoming AUSC into their regattas ⛵️

Last weekend, AUSC traveled to Eckerd College for the SAISA Open Fleet Race Championships. We placed 10th overall and were only 3 points away from 8th! This is the highest AUSC has ever placed at a conference championship regatta & it shows great promise for next season! Also, a big congratulations to our B Fleet who placed 2nd in their division. War Eagle!

Our first camping trip was such a hit that we couldn’t wait to do it again! From late-night s’mores to early morning’s sunrise, our crew had the best weekend out on the lake together. We’re already so excited to bring back these adventures in the fall!

Last weekend, AUSC’s race team travelled to Wrightsville Beach to their first Azalea Bowl! This regatta brings together high school and collegiate sailors, giving universities a great opportunity to recruit talented sailors. With winds climbing into the mid-20s on Saturday and settling in the high teens on Sunday, the team embraced challenging conditions and proudly represented Auburn on the water.

We extend a heartfelt thank you to Carolina Yacht Club for hosting an amazing event and to Joanne & Rick Campbell for housing our team!

Is it even a successful camping trip if you don’t come back smelling like campfire and bug spray? 🏕️⛵️ We had the BEST time at our first camping trip of the year last weekend, thank you to the 12 people who came out and spent the night with us! A special thank you to DT. Carmichael, our cook, and Gavin Faircloth, our trip planner—we couldn’t have done it without y’all!
