The last few years have been a very interesting journey. I was following everything I've been taught in the health & fitness industry and still had too much body fat & started to look older & feel really cruddy. I started to tell myself... There are so many ways to keep your body fit and healthy. Cardio, Strength and Flexibility are all essential components. One is not more important than the other.

This morning I woke and was reminded that I have not given myself enough restoration and flexibility. My lower back was in so much pain! 😫

Did you know that your calves, IT bands, hamstrings, and quads all effect your lower back? Getting a massage in your lower back region may not give you lasting relief.

My favorite ways to help my lower back and body feel it's best are my Lacrosse balls and Rollga! Hooray! I felt great enough to go to the gym and complete my strength circuits πŸ’•

Now that I am recovered and feeling strong enough to move to more functional training again, I needed a boost to get focused again.

I am so relieved to have created more muscle balance and not deal with sciatica, achy back or tight hips. It has been a great learning journey!

I am down almost 4 inches overall. Hooray!
Plus, just had a body scan this morning and have increased my lean mass by 1 pound + reduced my body fat by 1.5%. Yippee!!

Here's a great reminder... I am only down 0.9 pounds. Hah!

Bummer.... why do the boobies always shrink. ☹

So excited about continuing to strengthen my skill set and better support adults with achieving their healthiest version of themselves. β˜€οΈπŸ’“

When I work with my clients/ members, I encourage them to focus and visualize how they want to feel in their body. I have found that there is power in having "I am" statements & creating weekly SMART goals and actions plans to create progress.

UPDATE.... What I prepped for 2 days to get in control of my indulgence over the weekend:
* Attain GC Control + water + 1 scoop Collagen Peptides
* 3/4 cup egg whites + 1 egg + 1 cup chopped broccoli scrambled
* Ultra-Perfomance Protein Shake 1 scoop + unsweetened Almond Milk 1 cup + frozen cherries 100 grams
* Chicken Breast (from Rotisserie - 115 G) + Avocado 65 grams + 1 head of Romaine steamed... Chop it all up & number num
* Salmon 4 oz + Mixed Greens + 1 pump MCT Oil & lemon
* Goat Yogurt or Greek Yogurt 1/3 cup + Ultra-Perfomance Protein Shake 1 scoop... Protein Pudding!

This is a minimum calorie (1.250-1,400 calories) high protein & moderate fat + as many veggies as you want to add plan.

It helps me to crush my refined carb cravings after enjoying a bit more over the weekend. πŸ˜„
I follow it for 2 days, then prep with a few more starchy carb servings added back in my plan.
I also drink 100 ozs of water and only eat for a 10 hour eating window. I work 10 hour shifts, so smoothies help me eat regularly... Not time to do a lot of chewing. Heee-heeee
