Question: Should I eat between dinner and bedtime?

This is another really common question that's debatable so here is my take. Going to bed hungry is not fun, so thankfully the answer is yes! Eating a protein shake, cottage cheese or something relatively low in carbs and not super high in calories can make a good bedtime snack. If you only want popcorn or ice cream, then it's probably a craving brought on by being tired or stressed rather than being hungry.

Question: How long should I workout?

As a trainer, this is a question I get a lot. Despite popular belief, more isn't always better. Unless you are training for an event, their is diminishing returns on your time invested in exercising once you pass the hour mark.

On the other side of the spectrum, getting in what you can, when you can does make a difference. One minute of push ups here and 5 minutes of lunges and squats there really can add up!

So now that we have that covered...drop and give me 20 wherever you are!!! Your chest will thank me later 💪

My husband, Bjorn, made avocado ice cream for a ❤️Valentine's Day❤️ treat and much to my surprise (and probably yours too) it was pretty yummy!

Ingredients were just avocado, heavy whipping cream, water, and a little bit of Stevia.

This take on ice cream is low in carbs and high in fiber. Give it a try and see what you think!

Second up on the weekly lunch menu is super easy to make chili!

Ingredients:
-1.5 lbs of grass fed beef
-5 cans of kidney beans (rinsed)
-1 large jar of salsa
-2 TBSP chili powder
-2 tsp pepper
(Makes 5-6 servings)

Fry ground beef in sauté pan. Combine all ingredients in a stewpot wit 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil and split into mason jars for the next weeks lunch. Bon appetite!
