I’ve been thinking about this a lot over the last few days.
When Don Freeze told me he wore a Smoke & Meteoras shirt for his entrance at GCW, my immediate reaction was excitement.
But after sitting with it, I realized the shirt wasn’t what made the moment special.
It was what it represented.
Since starting this podcast, I’ve had the privilege of sitting down with wrestlers from all over the independent scene and hearing stories that fans might never have heard otherwise. Every guest has trusted me with a piece of their journey, and every fan who’s tuned in has helped those stories reach someone new.
Seeing one of those guests choose to wear the logo to the ring reminded me that Smoke & Meteoras is becoming more than just a podcast.
It’s becoming a community.
A place where wrestlers, fans, and promotions can celebrate independent wrestling together.
That’s something I’ll never take for granted.

Well…
So much for my “July break.” 😅
Apparently I don’t know how to sit still.
I said I was taking some time off, but two opportunities came along that I simply couldn’t pass up. So before the break actually begins, we’ve got one more incredible conversation to bring you.
