Inviting all girls K-12 that have ever wondered about the sport of wrestling!

May 11th from 4:30-5:30 in the Worthington Kilbourne wrestling room, coaches from the Worthington Youth Wrestling team and Kilbourne high school team will be on hand to teach and answer any questions from the girls and their parents. Lillian Leis, Kilbourne’s first girls state qualifier will also be there to share her personal experience. There is NO COST for this event and no obligation to join after. Come try the fastest growing girls sport for free!

Many male coaches currently coach female youth and high school wrestlers across the country. While there are more similarities than differences when coaching males and females, we realize that many coaches who have not coached girls before may have questions or hesitations.

Alongside USA Wrestling, the National Wrestling Coaches Association, and the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, we've compiled a best practice guide for coaching girl wrestlers.

She’s come a long way in her first year! She didn’t even own wrestling shoes when she came to her first open mat and now she’s among the best in the state. Her journey isn’t over yet. There’s still one more stop to make. Congratulations Lillian!
