Thomas Worthington Soccer Alumni

Pictures from Saturday’s 30-year reunion with the 1991 State Championship Team. Legendary Coach Ian Hamilton and players from across the country returned for a special halftime recognition during the Boys game vs. Centerville. Arguably one of the best Cardinal teams of all-time they were ranked 5th Nationally at the end of the season. Shoutout to the Striker’s Club for their hospitality and hosting food and drinks for players and alumni.

Tonight was the 2nd Great Chapter in this growing Alumni Game Rivalry. The old timers still came ahead 3-0 in the (2) 20-min half game, but the Varsity boys lead by strong keeper saves took the Penalty Kick Challenge title this year. Already looking forward to the next year and excited for the Fall Boys Season.

Look for a possible Alumni Recognition Night announcement this season and golf scramble in the future.

Looking forward to seeing more than a few of your old faces tonight and meeting other newer ones. I heard there is over 20 Alumni already registered. But DON'T WORRY if you haven't yet, there's at the point you CAN STILL PLAY/WATCH. Jerry has extra shirts and can take your contributions by CASH or CARD via Square at the Fields. Really anything helps and goes back in to the program!

TONIGHT is the 2nd Annual TWHS Alumni Soccer Game!
Join us 7-9p at the Varsity Stadium Fields to catch the new and old boys square off in this budding rivalry that includes a Penalty Kick competition at the end. Then join the crew for a bite and brew at a local pub after to hang out with players, families and friends!

- Full Time College Students (Class of 2014-17) can participate at NO COST
- Alumni registration is $25 (inclusive of commemorative T-shirt)
- Friends of the Program both past and present can register to receive the Commemorative shirt and participate in the event without having to play
- All registrants will receive a pop up window providing the opportunity to contribute above and beyond the $25 registration, per requests from last year (all proceeds go directly to the program & are tax deductible)

Thanks to all the current and former players, parents, coaches and fans that came out for the First Annual TWHS Alumni Soccer Game.

The Alumns, with veterans from each of the three State Championship teams in '91, '98 and '01 were present as the experiences rules the day with the old boys taking the match 8-3, and barely squeaking out a 1 shot victory on percentage in the Penalty Kick Challenge winning 13/20 over the Varsity's 13/21.

As Coach Ben Neer reminded all the players, having that connection to Thomas' very successful past programs is important and he threw out an invitation to join the team at the flats any time.

Tag your friends, invite other players to join the group and look forward to more Alumni events in the future as we all work together to help see this program return to top form.

Alums, come on out for the 1p soccer game vs the varsity. We'll need plenty of subs! Will have a Penalty Kick shoutout too!

This will be a great event for all Cardinal Soccer Alumni and Friends. Special recognition to the '91 & 2001 State Champions whom are celebrating their 15th and 25th Anniversary years of being the best in Ohio. We would love to see these guys!!
