These got me a lot of weird looks but the girls eventually started going along with it…

But it’s worth it to potentially shake off any game anxiety

Another postseason player vs parent/coach game, another parent/coach win!! Off the bat of a 3 run triple by Kaylani’s dad Rashad, the parents/coach prevailed with a hilariously ironic score of 6-7 *insert the hand gesture here*

This end of season tradition is so bittersweet, it’s a fun time of (mostly) friendly trash talk (the girls really stopped liking me today….) and very fun competition, but also our last time goofing off with these girls. Thank you to everyone who participated tonight, and thank you again to all family members that helped out through the season. None of us could complete this season without you and your support!

I'm sure you all thought "Oh great, no more of those annoying game flyers on Facebook" yesterday... You were SO wrong, if you did.

Bring your gloves and bats to McCord and let's show the girls what PARENTS softball is all about! Join us for a friendly game of slowpitch softball and let's continue the parents/coach team's winning ways!

Our postseason banquet will be immediately after the game! It's a fun celebration of a great season!

SEASON RECAP: Of the Cards' 12 wins on the season, 7 were by run-rule (Up 10 after 5 innings)

Tabi H led all 7th graders in batting average (.650 in 7 games) Annelle V was right behind her, batting .467. Annelle also led the 7th graders in stolen bases with 37.

Brooklyn C led the 8th graders, batting .630. She also led the team in stolen bases with 42.

Shae C led the team in RBIs (29) HRs (3) and Triples (8)

Ella C was the most patient at the plate, walking 19 times

Piper B, Brooklyn C, and Bella C tied for the "Ouchies!" award, leading the team in taking one for the team, with 4 each. (Brooklyn actually didn't get hit for one of those, but what blue says goes, right?

As a team, in all games (minus the Blue game in Delaware vs. River Valley, and the Red game at Hastings), the Cards batted .398

They had a +50 run differential, scoring 213 runs, while giving up 163 in 21 games, giving an average score of 10.1-7.8

Pitching-wise, Shae C. was a rock. Facing 199 total batters, she sat opponents down on strikes 92 times, a K percentage of 46%

This is just a glimpse of how special these 22 girls were these past 3 months. Every single girl made improvements in their skills throughout the season, and we have been so proud to watch them grow as ballplayers, but also as people.

Thank you, parents and family members of players, for entrusting us to handle this small piece of your girls' softball journeys. Parents of 8th graders, we wish you all the best in the process of moving up to TWHS. Coach Finn will take great care of you! Parents of 7th graders, we look forward to seeing you all again next season!

This one was for ALLLLL the nuggets!

The Cards closed out a great season with a solid win over Upper Arlington Hastings tonight at McCord Park. The Cards came out swinging immediately, putting 4 on the board in the first. The hits kept coming all game for the Cards, as we won in 6 innings, with a 14-4 score.

The Cards' overall record ends at 12-9, The Red Team going 12-3, Blue Team going 0-6.

We thank everyone for your support of these girls!

The shades and chain went to Leah H and Alicia N tonight for showing perseverance during a tough matchup!

Tonight in Dublin, we showed what Cardinals Softball is all about! The Cards won 4-0 in a TIGHT pitcher’s duel. The game remained scoreless until the 6th inning when Riley K started a rally with a leadoff single. Leah H moved her over with a ground ball single. Piper B drove Riley in to get the Cards on the board. And then Shae C brought those 3 in with a bomb to left field, over the fence for a 3 run home run!

Shae also pitched a complete game shutout, sitting Grizzell down 13 times

We will be at McCord tomorrow night for our season finale against Hastings. First pitch at 5:30!
