Ubuntu-Blox
Ubuntu-Blox (oo-BOON-too)is a revolutionary idea for simultaneously cleaning up the planet and creating sustainable housing.
Each block is made of three metal wires and 100% recycled plastics. The machine that makes the Ubuntu-Blox is simple and requires little physical effort to create a block about one square foot in size. The block is made by compressing the plastics together and binding them similar to how one would a hay bale. The process is easy and involves no burning or refinement. Almost any plastics can be use

General information
I first heard the word "Ubuntu" from Mr. Bottomly, one of my English teachers during my senior year of high school. Mr. Bottomly used his knowledge of the word to create an emphasis on teamwork and selflessness in the classroom and on the basketball court. It was his enthusiasm that sparked a class of 16 students to begin a project that would reach Africa. Casady4H2ope began with one small class and now with the help of Charity Water ( http://www.charitywater.org ) has raised over twenty thousand dollars. This money is providing clean, safe drinking water for one thousand African students.
It was that experience that inspired the name Ubuntu-Blox. We hope that with this philosophy and the Ubuntu-Blox we can empower people to clean up their environment and create low cost building materials for constructing sustainable housing.
