🎣 TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!

All 2026–2027 tournaments have been loaded into the THSBA App and website and are available for registration.

βœ… Only ONE angler from each competing team should register the team for the tournament.

During registration, that angler will:

β€’ Select their fishing partner
β€’ Select their boat captain

πŸ“ MAKE SURE YOU SELECT THE CORRECT TOURNAMENT

THSBA has nine divisions across Texas, and multiple divisions may fish the same lake on different dates. Sort the tournaments by your division in the App before registering to ensure you select the correct event.

πŸ† IMPORTANT AOY INFORMATION

Angler of the Year points are based on the team name used when registering for each tournament. The team name is the anglers’ names as registered.

Anglers may fish tournaments outside their home division. Out-of-division tournaments will not count toward AOY standings, but anglers remain eligible for all scholarships and prizes offered at those events.

If your partner or boat captain does not appear as an available option, they have not completed all required profile information or paid their membership dues, if applicable.

Please read the official THSBA Rules for complete tournament registration and AOY details.

Get registered and get ready for the 2026–2027 season! 🎣

🚨 CENTRAL DIVISION TOURNAMENT LOCATION CHANGE 🚨

The Central Division tournament scheduled for September 19, 2026 is being moved from Cedar Creek Lake to Lake Whitney.

πŸ“… Date: September 19, 2026
πŸ“ NEW LOCATION: Lake Whitney
❌ Original Location: Cedar Creek Lake

Due to the current low water level on Cedar Creek Lake, the THSBA Board feels the conditions could create safety concerns for a tournament field of this size. The safety of our anglers, captains, and families remains our top priority.

When selecting a replacement lake, the Board considered several factors. Lake Whitney was selected because it provides a more balanced travel distance for teams located in the far northern and southern portions of the Central Division. We also made an effort to avoid repeating lakes during the regular season whenever possible.

The tournament date will NOT change. Only the lake location is changing.

πŸ“² TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION OPENS AUGUST 21

Tournament registration for ALL THSBA divisions will open on August 21, 2026.

Please make sure your team is aware of the location change and plans accordingly.

🎣 THSBA Regular Season Tournament Information 🎣

Ready for another great season? Here are some of the key things every team should know before fishing a THSBA Regular Season event.

πŸ“ Registration
β€’ Register online or through the THSBA App.
β€’ Standard registration closes 11:59 PM on the Sunday (6 days) before each tournament.
β€’ Late registration is accepted until 11:59 PM on Thursday (2 days) before the event.
β€’ All late registrations are subject to a $20 per team late fee.

πŸ’΅ Entry Fee
β€’ $85 per team (cash or check).
β€’ Maximum of two student anglers per team.
β€’ Solo angler teams are permitted and pay the same $85 entry fee.

🚫 Important Policies
β€’ No rollovers. If your team registers but does not compete, the entry fee is forfeited.
β€’ Tournament buy-ins are not permitted. Teams cannot receive Angler of the Year points without competing.
β€’ Teams that change, add, or remove a partner will be declared a new team, and all Angler of the Year points earned will remain with that new team.

🚀 Off-Limits
β€’ Competitors must be off the tournament lake by 6:00 PM on the Friday before tournament day.

πŸ† Angler of the Year Points
β€’ 1st Place: 500 points
β€’ 2nd Place: 499 points
β€’ 3rd Place: 498 points
β€’ Each finishing position thereafter decreases by one point.

πŸ“‹ Participation Points
β€’ Teams that do not weigh fish but properly return their wristbands will receive 25 points fewer than the last team that weighs in a fish.

πŸ“– Know the Rules
β€’ These are just a few of the Regular Season rules. Every angler and captain is responsible for knowing and following the complete THSBA Rules.
β€’ By signing the Release of Liability through the THSBA App, all anglers, captains, parents, and guardians acknowledge that they have read, understand, and agree to follow all THSBA Rules and policies.

πŸ“… Looking Ahead
The 2026-2027 THSBA Rules will be posted before registration opens on August 1. We encourage all anglers, captains, and parents to review the updated rulebook before registering and competing this season.

We look forward to seeing everyone on the water for another great THSBA season! 🎣
