🤼♂️🏴☠️ Throwback Spotlight: 1972 Pirates Wrestling Team 🏴☠️🤼♂️
Coached by Glynn Moore, the 1972 Pirates wrestling team began the season ranked No. 1 in the state of Washington—and proved it every step of the way. The Pirates completed a perfect 29–0 season, highlighted by a dominant 32–11 victory over second-ranked powerhouse Moses Lake.
After capturing the Columbia Big Nine Conference Championship, the Pirates continued their momentum at Regionals, advancing eight wrestlers to the WIAA State Championships. Once there, they delivered in historic fashion—five wrestlers reached the title match, with three crowned State Champions.
