Twenty-five years later, we still remember.

Today, we honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the families whose lives were forever changed, and the first responders who ran toward danger when others were trying to escape it.

It was a day of unimaginable loss, but it also reminded us what can happen when people come together with courage, compassion, and unity.

Today, let us pause. Let us remember. And let us pray for our nation and one another.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

God knows what you need, even when you don’t know how to ask for it.

He sees what’s worrying you, what you’ve been praying about, and even the things you can’t put into words.

You don’t have to figure everything out today. Bring it to God and trust that He knows exactly where you are and what you need.

But what if God wasn’t the one who ended the conversation?

Your nonprofit doesn’t just need another check. It needs the right relationships.

A funder may support one program for a specific period of time. But the right partner sees the bigger picture. They understand your mission, believe in the vision, and recognize the long-term impact you’re working to create.

That’s why nonprofit leaders need to think beyond “Who will fund us?”

Start asking:

Who believes in what we’re building?
Who shares our vision and values?
Who could become a long-term partner in the mission?

Because when trust is built, the conversation begins to change.

It moves from “Will you fund my program?” to “How can we work together?”

Funding can help you complete a project. Strong partnerships can help you build something that lasts.

Stop looking for someone to write a check. Start looking for people who believe in what you’re building.

Yes, your nonprofit needs funding. But the goal shouldn’t be to find someone who funds one program and disappears.

The stronger opportunity is building relationships with people and institutions that understand your vision, trust your leadership, and want to see the mission grow.

That’s when the conversation begins to shift from “Will you fund this?” to “How can we work together?”

That’s the power of partnership.

Life can take a lot from you, but it can’t take Jesus from you.

You can lose the job. Lose the money. Lose people you thought would always be there. You can watch plans fall apart and wonder what you have left.

But if you still have Christ, you still have hope. You still have peace to hold on to. You still have a reason to keep going.

If you lost everything, but gained Christ, you lost nothing.

At the end of the day, some things we thought we couldn’t live without may come and go. Jesus remains.
