Just 22 days to Election Day. Early Voting at City Hall starts next Monday.
If you would like a sign for your yard, please let me know and I will bring one to you.
In the past four years we have moved the City forward in a number of areas:
Putting the city on a sound financial basis with balanced budgets.
Investments in infrastructure; paving streets and replacing water-mains.
Growing our local economy, bringing in new businesses like Real Wheels Corporation who relocated their headquarters from Gurnee to Zion. Also, there are two major developments slated for Trumpet Park; A high-tech warehouse complex, and a pharmaceutical company which is projected to be a 100 million dollar investment when completed through all phases in the next few years.
The City lead the effort to attain state CEJA funds for our nuclear storage by working with our state representatives. And, making sure that 75% of those funds are used to lower property taxes for our residents. That is 15 million a year for the next 22 years, of which about 11 million a year will be taken off our tax bills.
A lot has been accomplished, and there is still a lot to do. It has been my honor to serve as your Commissioner of Accounts & Finance and Mayor Pro-Tem these past four years, and I ask for your support and your vote to continue doing this work for another term.
If you have any questions, or just want to support the campaign, please email me at: [email protected]
The calendar is relentless, even though it seems we have all been in an endless election season heading to November 5th, it is already time to start thinking about April 2025 and the General Consolidated Election.
Over the next couple of weeks I will be collecting nomination signatures to get on the ballot in April, and I will share information here and elsewhere about what has been accomplished in the past couple of years, and what still needs to be done.
I feel very good about the progress that has been made, and I am still enthusiastic about the work we are doing to move Zion forward. As always I appreciate your support and your vote.
More to come.
With the next City Council Meeting, my first term in office comes to a close. I am looking forward to the next four years and hope to get a lot of positive things done for the city.
This page will also be going dormant, having served it's purpose for another election season. I encourage you to follow my official page for news and events related to my office.

The Mayor will be assigning Commissioners to their area of responsibility, and recommending appointments for Department heads and members of boards and committees.
We are back in council chambers at City Hall for this meeting, and hopefully if the positivity and vaccination rates continue to improve we will continue to do so, with mask and distancing protocols in place.
