PSA: Acadia acceptances are based on the number of meetings you’ve attended, the number of waitlists for other trips that you’ve been on, the number of trips you’ve already attended, and membership status. We are taking 40 (!!!) club members total but we wish we could take all of you, I promise. Can’t wait to see you there ;)

Did you know that last school year we led 106 trips, with over 600 individual students? We’re proud to say that BUOC is the biggest it’s ever been.

That also means that BUOC is the most expensive it’s ever been. Our largest expense as a club is rental cars, and we spend over $17,000 a semester on transportation alone to get people all around New England. While BU gives us some of this money, it isn’t enough to accommodate the demand from all of you.

The point is this: to get more people outside, we need YOUR help. BUOC is accepting donations of any size to help us reach our goal of $3,000 in crowdfunding (that’s 9 more trips!!). Please visit the link in our bio to donate!!

Join BU Outing Club (BUOC). We do it in the woods.

Our first meeting is tomorrow, Tuesday 09/08, in Com 101 at 8pm. Normally our meetings will be at the same time, in the same place, but on Mondays. In the first meeting you’ll learn about BUOC, meet the Eboard, and hear about the trips we have planned for this weekend!! We hope to see you all there

Yeah, we’re sad summer is over… but not really because it means BUOC trip leaders get to go outside with all of you soon!! Stay tuned for more details on Splash and our first meeting.

Celebrate the end of classes with us at the BUOC end of year picnic TODAY, May 8th from 5:30-8PM! There will be spikeball and other games, hammocking, snacks, and the opportunity to hang out with your lovely fellow BUOCers. We will be on the esplanade across the pedestrian bridge by towers. See you there!
