I've trapped a couple of thousand raccoons and a few hundred opossums over my lifetime. Most of them while I was using box traps. I always heard raccoons and opossum raid the turkey nests. So, as an experiment, I decided to use chicken eggs as natural bait next to the treadle inside the traps. This was totally unproductive. I did not catch anything.
Has anyone else tried this and were you successful?

Keeping the feeders full of high protein pellets and roasted soybeans year around. Nearby enclosures have free choice cotton seeds available. In ground minerals sites along with fresh water help create a one stop buffet for the deer. The high protein food plots include clovers and chicory. Bi-annual worming helps the deer health too.
The deer look great! They are filled out and do not have any signs of ticks on their ears which indicate a healthy animal.

One of many pregnant doe on my property near Greenville, Florida. They are still a few weeks away from dropping their fawns. As time gets closer to delivery, the drooping belly will shift towards the hind legs.
