Giải bóng bầu dục cờ Hà Nội 2024 do Liên đoàn bóng bầu dục cờ Hà Nội tổ chức đã chứng kiến màn ra mắt của Đội tuyển bóng bầu dục cờ Việt Nam.

Đội tuyển quốc gia đã ngay lập tức được thử thách trong trận đấu đầu tiên với đội Hà Nội White. Mặc dù có một số pha bóng xuất thần, nhưng đội tuyển quốc gia mới thành lập đã thể hiện thiếu sự gắn kết rõ ràng và họ đã để thua sít sao 21-13.

Thất bại ban đầu này đã khơi dậy quyết tâm chứng minh rằng họ xứng đáng với đấu trường quốc tế. Trong trận chiến rượt đuổi tỉ số hoành tráng với đội Kuala Lumpur Barbarians dày dạn kinh nghiệm, đội đã vào trận chung kết, Đội tuyển quốc gia bắt đầu chơi gắn kết hơn và đã giành chiến thắng 19-16.

Trong trận đấu thứ ba và cũng là trận đấu cuối cùng của ngày đầu tiên của giải đấu, họ đã đối mặt với Sinag Pilipinas tài năng và thống trị, đội cuối cùng đã đăng quang ngôi vô địch Giải bóng bầu dục cờ Hà Nội 2024. Mặc dù đã chiến đấu dũng cảm, nhưng những cầu thủ trẻ của Đội tuyển quốc gia đã không phải là đối thủ của đội tuyển Philippines khi họ để thua với tỷ số 31-6. Mặc dù đây là một trận thua nặng nề, nhưng nó đã để lại nhiều bài học cho các trận đấu sau này.

Vào ngày thứ 2, Đội tuyển quốc gia đã bắt đầu với chiến thắng đầy cảm hứng 19-12 trước Singapore Otters, đội vô địch Turkey Bowl 2022 và là á quân của giải năm 2023.

Trong trận đấu cuối cùng của giải đấu, Đội tuyển quốc gia đã có cơ hội chuộc lỗi trước đối thủ đầu tiên của giải đấu, Hanoi White. Mặc dù đã mở tỉ số, nhưng thật không may, họ đã không thể giành chiến thắng. Trận đấu kết thúc với tỉ số chung cuộc 27-6 nghiêng về Hanoi White.

The 2024 Hanoi Turkey Bowl organised by the Hanoi Flag Football League was set as the stage for the Vietnamese Flag Football National Team’s debut.

The National Team was immediately tested during its first game against the Hanoi White team. Despite some flashes, it was apparent that the newly assembled National squad still lacked chemistry and they narrowly lost 21-13.

This initial setback sparked their determination to prove they belonged on the international scene. During an epic back-and-forth battle against the seasoned Kuala Lumpur Barbarians, who later went on to the championship game, the National Team started to play more cohesively and emerged victorious (19-16).

For their third and final game of the first day of the tournament, they faced a talented and dominant Sinag Pilipinas, who were eventually crowned the 2024 Turkey Bowl champions. Although they fought bravely, the youth of the National Team was no match for the firepower of the Filipino team as they were defeated 31-6. Even though this was a heavy loss, it was one full of lessons for the future.

On day 2, the National Team started with an inspiring 19-12 victory versus the Singapore Otters, who had won the 2022 Turkey Bowl and were the runner-up of the 2023 edition.

For their final game of the competition, the National Team had the opportunity to redeem themselves against their first opponent of the tournament, the Hanoi White. Despite drawing first blood, they were unfortunately unable to claim victory. The game ended on the final score of 27-6 for Hanoi White.

Well done to all the players who made history as they proudly represented Vietnam in their first-ever international tournament.

Các tuyển thủ VFFA đã có khởi đầu hoạt động sôi nổi trong tháng 8 và tháng 9 với 3 buổi tập đầu tiên kể từ giải Summer Slam vào tháng 5 năm 2024. Các tuyển thủ Hà Nội và TP.HCM tổ chức các buổi tập theo các tiêu điểm tương tự.

Các bài tập xây dựng đội nhóm và diễn tập để nâng cao thể lực và khả năng phối hợp được thực hiện vào đầu mỗi buổi tập. Các huấn luyện viên của VFFA sau đó tập trung vào các kỹ năng cơ bản, bao gồm chuyền, bắt bóng cũng như các chiến lược tấn công và phòng thủ cơ bản.

Danh sách 12 người cuối cùng sẽ được chọn trong thời gian ngắn để tham gia Turkey Bowl tổ chức tại Hà Nội vào ngày 23-24/11/2024. Đây sẽ là cơ hội để Đội tuyển bóng đá nam quốc gia Việt Nam đầu tiên kiểm tra kỹ năng của mình trước một số đội bóng dày dặn kinh nghiệm nhất không chỉ ở Việt Nam mà còn ở Đông Nam Á và Đông Á. Thật vậy, các đội đến từ Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore và Hàn Quốc dự kiến sẽ tham gia cuộc thi.

VFFA players had an exciting start to their activities in August and September with their first practices since the Summer Slam tournament in May 2024. Players from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City have held 3 sessions so far following similar foci.

Team-building exercises and drills to enhance fitness and coordination were implemented at the start of each session. VFFA coaches then focused on fundamental skills, including passing, catching, and basic offensive and defensive strategies.

A final 12-man roster will be announced shortly to participate in the Turkey Bowl held in Hanoi on 23-24/11/2024. This will be the opportunity for the first ever Vietnamese Men’s Flag Football National Team to test their skills against some of the most seasoned teams in not only Vietnam but also South East Asia and East Asia. Indeed, teams from Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and South Korea are expected to join the competition.

Logo mới này thể hiện cam kết của chúng tôi trong việc thúc đẩy phát triển môn thể thao này và xây dựng một cộng đồng vững mạnh với những người đam mê bóng bầu dục giật cờ (flag football) trên khắp Việt Nam.

Cảm ơn tất cả thành viên VFFA rất nhiều vì đã gửi những ý tưởng thiết kế logo và trong số đó, thiết kế này đã nhận được sự chú ý đặc biệt từ cả các huấn luyện viên và thành viên VFFA.

Logo mới kết hợp các đường nét thiết kế hiện đại cùng gami màu sắc đỏ - vàng, mang tính biểu tượng của quốc kỳ Việt Nam, tạo nên hình ảnh ấn tượng về một hiệp hội tràn đầy sức sống. Sau các buổi tuyển chọn thành công tại Thành phố Hà Nội và Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh, Giải đấu Summer Slam 2024 - tổ chức tại Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh từ ngày 18/5 đến ngày 19/5 - được chọn là nơi để các ứng cử viên khẳng định vị trí của mình trong danh sách thành viên Đội tuyển Bóng bầu dục giật cờ (Flag Football) Quốc gia Việt Nam (VFFA).

Do đó, hai đội VFFA đã được thành lập, VFFA Miền Bắc (áo trắng) và VFFA Miền Nam (áo đỏ), để tranh tài trong Giải đấu, và tạo cơ hội cho mỗi cầu thủ thể hiện tài năng của mình trước đánh giá chuyên nghiệp từ tất cả các huấn luyện viên VFFA tại Giải đấu.

Trong ngày đầu tiên của Giải đấu, đội VFFA Miền Bắc khởi đầu Giải đấu với chiến thắng trước đội Phoenix, chỉ thua đội Flamingo dày dặn kinh nghiệm 1 điểm và thua đội Sharks.

VFFA Miền Nam đánh bại đội Swarm và chỉ thua 1 điểm trước đội Saigon Classic và đội Hanoi Hard Knocks (2 đội đi tiếp vào chung kết).

Vào giai đoạn playoffs trong ngày thứ 2, VFFA Miền Bắc đã khởi đầu chậm chạp và để thua Swarm. May mắn thay, họ đã rút kinh nghiệm và giành được chiến thắng trước đội Phoenix.

Đội VFFA Miền Nam đã kết thúc giải đấu một cách thuyết phục với hai chiến thắng trước đội Phoenix và đội Swarm.

Mặc dù kết quả của cả hai đội không đáp ứng được kỳ vọng nhưng đó là một trải nghiệm tuyệt vời để trau dồi và học hỏi, và chắc chắn họ đã gây ấn tượng cũng như thu hút được sự chú ý của ban huấn luyện viên.

After successful combines in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, the 2024 Summer Slam 2024 - held in Ho Chi Minh City from May 18th to May 19th - was chosen as the platform for candidates to the Vietnamese Flag Football National Team to make their case for a spot on the roster.

Two VFFA teams were formed, VFFA North (in white) and South (in red), to compete in the tournament to give each player the opportunity to showcase their talents in front of the VFFA coaches.

During the pool phases on day 1, the VFFA North team began the competition with a win against the Phoenix, then lost by one point to a seasoned Flamingoes team and closed out the day with a loss to the Sharks.

VFFA South beat the Swarm and only lost by one score to both the Saigon Classic and the Hanoi Hard Knocks, both of whom made the tournament final.

For the playoffs phase on day 2, VFFA North had a slow start and lost to the Swarm. They were able to redeem themselves and seal a victory against the Phoenix.

The VFFA South squad finished the competition in convincing fashion with two wins against the Phoenix and the Swarm.

Although the players from both teams wanted different results, the tournament was a great learning experience, and they have no doubt impressed the coaches and caught their attention.
