Cavern and Intro Cave for all levels in Turtle Tomb, Sipadan

Few dive sites in the world carry the mystique of the Turtle Tomb in Sipadan, Borneo. Famously explored and brought to global attention by Jacques Cousteau, this unique limestone labyrinth serves as a natural graveyard for green and hawksbill turtles. It is widely considered one of the most iconic and hauntingly beautiful cave systems on the planet.

During our Sipadan/Borneo training camp (Jan 26 – Feb 4, 2026), we are utilizing this world-class site for IANTD Cavern and IANTD Introduction to Cave programs, available for Divers, Instructors, and those stepping up to Instructor Trainer (IT).

Training here isn't just about earning a certification; it’s about developing technical precision in a place that demands it. The Turtle Tomb's delicate limestone and silty floors make it the ultimate classroom for mastering specialized propulsion and psychological discipline.
Technical Focus:

- Propulsion & Trim: Eliminating siltation through refined kicking techniques, perfected trim and balance.
- Gas Management: Strict application of the gas rules and redundant system management.
- Navigation: Proficiency in line-laying and the strategic use of primary and backup light systems.

Whether you are a diver building your foundation or an Instructor/IT candidate looking to teach in overhead environments, training in a world-class site like the Turtle Tomb sets a higher standard for your technical path.

If you are interested and want to check if you qualify for the program, contact us through Messenger or from the website contact page.

It’s always nice to explore a new shipwreck, especially here in Vietnam, where documented and diveable wrecks are very rare. This one was an unnamed steel boat, approximately 40 meters long, sitting upright on a slope at a depth of between 12 and 22 meters. Hopefully, I’ll be able to explore more of it soon.

Watch the first Sharkwater for FREE ! the original film that started it all ! Thanks to a generous donor, we’re making the original film that started it all available through World Ocean’s Day. Many of you have asked for this, please enjoy and share it with your friends!

Sharkwater brought the devastating issue of shark finning for shark fin soup to the world stage. Demonstrating that sharks aren’t the monsters depicted in Jaws, filmmaker Rob Stewart was just 22 when he traveled to the Galapagos Islands, Costa Rica and across four continents. With 90 percent of the shark population destroyed by indiscriminate hunting, Stewart joins forces with conservationist Paul Watson and Sea Shepherd to fight poachers who illegally kill them for their fins.

This World Oceans Day you can watch the revolutionary Sharkwater for free here -> https://vimeo.com/423225140/13a35d32d0

Meet Phylliroe: the sea slug that looks and swims like a fish 14/04/2020

Meet Phylliroe: the sea slug that looks and swims like a fish Biologists have a habit of naming things after cool animals. Cars named after comb jellies, internet passwords after giant squid. Most of these names I recognized, but then I saw my friend’s wifi signal: “Phylliroe”, an animal name I’d never heard before. It took me a while to figure out who...
