Cardio is not something I quickly raise my hand to volunteer to do. But I do it for so many reasons. It keeps me active. It helps my heart get stronger. It forces my lungs to expand and recruit more oxygen. It enables me not to suck air when I climb stairs or go for a hike. It’s some thing I do for the endorphin rush. It’s some thing I do to burn maybe a couple hundred calories but really that is not my focus. My focus is health. My focus is being able to stay as active as possible every day of my life for the rest of my life. it goes hand-in-hand with my weight training and overall health. It helps me to relieve stress. To get out built-up energy. There’s so many positive things exercise brings into your life. Create some space for it and welcome it in.

Mini bell peppers
Persian cucumbers
Small serving of pita chips
Very easy, easy to pack for work and filling as well.
Feel free to switch out the cottage cheese for plain greek yogurt.

The second slide is a picture of the scale I use every time I prepare a meal I measure out my starchy, carbs and my protein. It’s a great way to know what you were doing, and to be aware of how much protein you’re getting in.
Tonight’s dinner is Beef, top loin, New York steak, thin, and boneless. Jasmine rice and acorn squash.
Thin New York steak 150 grams
Acorn squash 150 grams
Jasmin rice 65 grams
I marinated in barbecue the steak. I have a dab of butter for taste on the rice and salt and pepper on the acorn squash. This is totally feeling and super delicious.

Apple cinnamon pecan Carmel deliciousness 😋
Recipe
1/2 of a small apple 39 cal
One container of good culture cottage cheese, 120 cal
2 teaspoons of Trader Joe’s cinnamon bun spread 60 cal
4 grams of honey roasted pecan pieces, 20 cal
Mix it all together and you have a yummy low-calorie high-protein treat. Awesome for Fall!
