Wilma Ala’s work as both a coach and PFA Women's Development Officer in creating opportunities for women and girls to engage in football, develop their skills, and build confidence. Through her coaching, she not only teaches the technical aspects of the game but also provides mentorship that encourages personal growth, teamwork, and leadership. This kind of support is crucial in developing the next generation of female athletes who might otherwise lack access to resources or role models.😊

As a Women's Development Officer with the PFA, Wilma plays a key role in advocating for better pathways and opportunities for women in football.👏

A huge round of applause to Mrs. Wilma Ala from Nduindui/West Ambae! She is doing an incredible work as the Penama Football Association women Development Officer and as the coach for the "This Is How We Football" (TIHWF) program.

TIHWF is a fantastic girls-only football initiative designed to introduce young women to football and keep them engaged for life. Mrs. Wilma Allah has been instrumental in implementing the first-ever TIHWF program in West Ambae, and her dedication is evident in the successful completion of sessions with various teams, including the U15 and senior women's teams at Londua, Kambabulu U14, Alah Memorial U14, and Nduindui School & Senior Women's team.

Her hard work and passion for the game are truly inspiring, and she is playing a key role in empowering young women through football. Thank you, Mrs. Wilma Allah, for your incredible contribution to women's football in the region!

AMBAE| " This Is How We Football "

Congratulations finally to VFF for hosting its first ever This is How We Football (TIHWF) programme here in Vanuatu.

TIHWF is a girls-only football programme introducing young women to football and keeping them in the game for life.

TIHWF is implemented in Vanuatu under the VFF Social Responsibility Department and in partnership with the VFF Technical Department.

Our plan this year is to trial TIHWF on Ambae, under the coordination of Samsley Toa Vanua.
Last week the programme was launched on Ambae with a 3 days course (3-5 June 2024) facilitated by Trainer/Coordinator Samsley with the cofacilitation by VFF Coach Educator Raynon Vuke.

"The 3 days training ended successfully and 11 coaches out of 13 have faithfully completed the course", Trainer Samsley reported.

The course participants represented the 6 clubs affiliated to the West Ambae Women Football League.

"Mr Raynon Vuke who is our current Coach Educator with the VFF accepted the invitation to assist in the training and has helped a lot", said Trainer Samsley.

Acknowledging Penama Football Association and President Thomas Tau for hosting the pilot project of TIHWF. Also thank you to Penama Education, School principals, community leaders, participants and Trainers for a successful delivery of TIHWF course.
