Marjorie took aerobic programs in the churches, reaching out to the community promoting Health and Well being to the Samoan Community. She was officially commended by the Deputy Prime Minister Misa T Retslaff for her work in the community and through the media.Marjorie did her community work for no capital gain.Marjorie designed and tutored health course's for Maori and Pacific Island students in Auckland New Zealand,one of her courses that became very popular at Auckland Polytechnic, which is now Auckland university of
Technology, was Te Rapu Ora meaning a search for health, which focused on total well being,the holistic approach.Marjorie has never diverted from her passion of educating people towards a better life by taking care of your health.Marjorie is now promoting and teaching yoga,she has been practicing the art of yoga for 6 years,she has looked at yoga from a broad perspective with the question how can I break down the barriers that yoga poses to a Christian Nation as Samoa, as she has observed yoga class's in Samoa are mostly supported by expats not the local community. There are several factors a major one is lack of knowledge of yoga as a pathway to Health and Well being, another is the ability to teach the art of yoga to fit the culture not the other way around,teaching Yoga at grass roots is the key to the growth and practice of yoga in which Marjorie has been approached to start teaching in this area. She has no desire to turn Yoga into a business,as Richard and Marjorie are well supported by their own business's both in Samoa and New Zealand,when it comes to Health and Well being Marjorie has given freely of her time,knowledge,and experience.
