Following the Capital Budget vote many expressed confusion on the results. It seems there was a tremendous amount of misunderstanding and some information that was not understood regarding the projects and the way they were split on the ballot proposals. I know that myself, I have spoken to approximately 50 individuals who were in favor of the project and did not realize what was happening. Attached is a letter from the Varsity Soccer Coach. Dear Campbell-Savona School community,

Following the recent vote on the capital project, on January 27th I will presenting to the board a proposal for a second vote specifically for the installation of a synthetic turf field at Campbell-Savona Central School.

I understand that the initial vote did not pass, but I believe a dedicated vote on the turf field alone would provide a clearer picture of community support for this important project.

Key Benefits of a Turf Field:

* Enhanced Safety: Reduced risk of injuries for athletes and improved drainage for safer play in all weather conditions.

* Increased Usage: Year-round availability for practices and games, maximizing field utilization.

* Improved Athletic Performance: Consistent and predictable playing surface, leading to improved performance and a better overall athletic experience.

* Community Benefits: Expanded recreational opportunities for the community outside of school hours.

Turf is inevitable. Schools all around us are moving to turf for their athletic facilities. Eventually we will have too as well. If we approve the turf facilities now, we are able to use the state grant, and we may not have that as an option next time around.

We believe that a second vote, focused solely on the turf field, will allow the more support for this valuable addition to our school and community.

There will be no Open Gym Baseball January 12th or January 19th. We will be back at it January 23rd.

Sunday's Open Gym Baseball for tomorrow, 12/21/2024 is cancelled due to the cold temperatures and wind chills being in the lower single digits. We'll pick it up on 12/29

We still are getting some work in. Even with deer season fired up. Couple of our guys notched their tags over the weekend. Congrats to all that did. Got some swings in yesterday. See you next week.

Outside. Wear a sweatshirt

We are back at it this weekend. Sunday 10:30-12:30. Making the transition to indoors as the weather changes. We may outside again so be prepared.

Today's workout is outside! We aren't wasting a good day on the inside.

This Sunday from 10:30 - 12:30 the gym will be open for 7th grade and up. Not too early to dust off the swing and get a few reps in.

HELLO! Well the school year has been going for a month. Fall sports are doing awesome things. Offseason baseball workouts are about to start. We will begin on Sunday, October 13th from 10:30 - 12:30. We are avoiding the 6th for several reasons. Coach has an obligation, Wineglass, etc. The first couple sessions we'll stick with 7th grade and higher as we get equipment in place and such. Once our next sessions are firmed up, we will expand to different age levels. Reminder: These are for Campbell-Savona School District. See ya alll soon. Enjoy Homecoming.
