Today marks the 3-year anniversary of Western Mass Youth Flag Football!

Over the past three years, we've watched countless young athletes develop their skills, build friendships, and foster a love for the game. From our humble beginnings, we've grown into a community that emphasizes fun, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Date: March 21, 2025
Entry Fee: $250 per team
Deposit: $50 (due at registration)
Divisions: Coed (U6, U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, U18) & Girls (U10, U12, U14, U16, U18)
Fields: 10 fields available for games
Cash Prize: $500 for the winner in each division if the division has 10 teams or more!

After reviewing the results of our recent poll regarding today’s event, we found that 72% of participants are unable to attend due to the weather, with 41 families voting "Yes" and 72 voting "No." Given these results, we have decided to postpone today’s event to ensure that everyone can participate safely and comfortably.

A new make-up date will be scheduled and sent out to parents soon. We appreciate your understanding and support. Stay warm and safe!

We are excited to announce the upcoming NFL FLAG Combine Day on January 26, 2025, which will take place at 181 Root Rd, Westfield, MA 01085. This is a great opportunity for players to showcase their skills and have some fun in a competitive setting!

Combine Breakdown:
* Check-In: 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM (All Divisions)
* Players must be checked in to participate.
* The check-in table will be located at the field entrance.

Combine Times and Drills:

* 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

U6 & U8 Divisions
* 40-Yard Dash
* Flag Pull
* RB Cut Drill
* QB Throw

* 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM

U10 & U13 Divisions
* 40-Yard Dash

We encourage all players to bring their best energy and enthusiasm! This will be a fun and supportive event where each player can get measured on key skills. Please make sure to arrive early for check-in and be ready to participate in the drills.

We’re excited to share an important update about the Winter NFL Flag Session! To allow more time for registration, we’ve moved the start date to Sunday, January 26th. The session will run through March 2nd, and the schedule (Sundays at Roots Westfield from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM) will remain the same.

"Spreading holiday cheer with the Toy for Tots giveaway! Grateful to be part of bringing smiles to children in need this season."

Dear Friends and Family,

First, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for the incredible generosity we’ve seen so far in toy donations. Your kindness has been a blessing, and we are so thankful for your support.

However, as we continue to sort and distribute these gifts, we’ve realized there is still a great need for new, unwrapped toys for certain age groups:

- Babies and toddlers (6 months to 5 years)
- Boys ages 6-8
- Girls of all ages

The number of families reaching out for help this holiday season has been overwhelming, and we want to ensure that every child has a gift to unwrap on Christmas morning.

We are asking for your help once again. We know this request comes last minute but we wanted to give it all we could to ensure we are able to help as many families as possible. If you are able to donate new, unwrapped toys or share this message with others, it would mean the world to us and the families we are trying to serve.

Western Mass Youth Flag Football Organization is seeking a donated location (safe and suitable) to host a drive up Toys for Tots giveaway event on 12/21/25 from 10am - 3pm . The location would be used to distribute over 200 toys to children in need during the holiday season. The goal is to get toys to kids in need before Christmas. Western Mass Youth Flag Football was thrilled to be part of this year's Toys for Tots Day in Springfield, Massachusetts!

It was an incredible experience collaborating with Extreme Science Kid and all the amazing community partners who made the event a success.

The day was filled with joy, laughter, and a true sense of giving as we came together to support children in need during the holiday season.

Extreme Science Kid hosted a an exciting, hands-on learning experience that captivated the kids, while local organizations worked tirelessly to ensure that every child received a gift and a smile.

We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a special event and proud of the strong spirit of community that shone through.

A huge thank you to all the volunteers, partners, and supporters who made this Toys for Tots Day unforgettable. We look forward to continuing to work together and making a positive impact in Springfield for years to come!
