King’s Cliffe Junior Football

Our under 7s played in the Thorney 6s tournament today. They came 2nd in their group, with 2 wins, a draw and a loss. We faced the winners of another group in the knockout stages, a tough match for them. But they kept on battling till the end. Very proud of them, a great way to end the season.

The day is finally here again for the King’s Cliffe juniors Cliife Cup!

It’s the 4th year of the juniors club hosting our own football tournament. The current U10’s will have 24 teams attending, ranging from clubs all the way from Godmanchester and Wyberton which supports the growing success of the event.

Big shout out to all the volunteers and sponsors that have supported Ben and myself in making it happen again. You all know who you are ⚽️💪

Hi all,

Just a reminder that the King’s Cliffe Junior Football U10s have their annual tournament on Sat 29th June.

We have 24 teams attending this year so as a community you will see an increase in traffic between 8am and 10pm and then the reverse between 2pm and 4pm.

Most vehicles will be directed to the Cricket Field to park with the rest parking at the active. We will direct vehicles not to park in the industeial areas, save for Easilume Ltd who have kindly allowed us to use their space as an overflow option.

If you have time please come up the active and get behind two of your village teams who will be competing. The cafe will be putting on food and Ginos will be there from midday.

Also, any volunteers that may be able to assist with setting up, parking, taking down stuff please get in touch.

Hi all,

King's Cliffe United FC U11s for 24/25 season (current school year 5) are looking for a couple of players to add to our squad.

We have struggled in the past to keep teams going as the format of the game (5v5, 9v9, 11v11) moves through the age groups so really keen to get some local players involved and keep growing our youth teams as a club.

We train on Tuesdays at King's Cliffe Active between 6pm and 7pm and will be entering the Hunts league next season so will play our matches on Saturdays (usually mornings).

We have an excellent set up, great facilities and a great team so if interested please get in touch. If you can share across other village groups that would be great.

Its that time again, the King's Cliffe Cup is back!! 🏆

We are excited to announce that King's Cliffe United FC U10s football tournament is being held on Saturday 29th June 2024 at KC Active, Kingsmead, Station Rd, King's Cliffe, Peterborough PE8 6YH.

The tournament is going from strength to strength and has continued to grow, this year 24 teams have entered from Lincs, Northants, and Cambridgshire.

We are looking for sponsors for the event, sponsorship of £50 for a pitch or one of the Gold, Silver and Bronze trophies that the teams will be competing for is available.

If you can help please get in touch, deadline for any interest is Friday 24th May as we would want any logos, signage etc to be sent out with information to the other football clubs attending and advertisments on social media ahead of the day.

The U8’s showed what they were made of with a great comeback to draw against Blackstones Blue today. Never gave up and worked hard to turn it around. POM for Mordy for a calmly taken goal to start the comeback, followed by an amazing 20 mins in goal 💪💥🦔

Our under 11s team participated in a grassroots experience at Peterborough United yesterday! They had the best time as you can tell by the smiles! A day they won’t forget! Making memories.

U7s were back in action yesterday after a half term break. Playing a strong Stamford AFC Team, we started really well. As the game progressed Stamfords strength took control of the game. The players kept going till the end, never gave up. A few things to work on in training next week and we go again. So proud of this little team, their team spirit is excellent 🌟

Great win for the U8’s today against ICA Sports, some fantastic passing, supporting each other, and some quality goals taken. Tough to pick a POM today but Beth just sneaked it for me, with her two goals and a stint in defence. Awesome job 🦔 🔥

U7s enjoyed their first match of 2024 at home to Holme Hotspur FC. It was a close game with both goalkeepers making some great saves.
The team played really well, so many great performances and fantastic team spirit. A narrow defeat in the end.
POTM - Thomas for his bravery and super saves in goal. ⚽️🦔

U7s were away to Thurlby Tigers Orange this morning. Playing on a 3G pitch we avoided the mud but we definitely didn't avoid the rain. They were absolute troppers. Not our best performance but coming back from 2 goals down to earn a well deserved draw. Some great goals from our players.
POTM- Angus, a good solid performance in defence and 2nd half in goal showing great team spirit by offering to go in when no one else was keen. ⚽️🦔

U7s played away to Stamford AFC Daniels Reds. A much closer game than our first meeting at the start of the season. The team is really developing and progressing.
It was our first match with a full squad of 10, first league match for Jess and first league goals for Jack and Max.

U8’s got another win today against Wittering, thats 3 wins on the bounce and the most impressive thing was we got our first clean sheet too.

6 different scorers and Jack D got his first of the season, thanks to a great verbal assist from the coaching team.

POM was JP who scored a wonder goal and set the tone for the team to follow. I not sure what happened with the photo, but it shows there team spirit and togetherness I guess 🙄. Go 🦔”s 💪

A win for the u7s this morning against Parkside Athletic. They haven't had a competitive match for 4 weeks but they all played really well.
POTM- Isaac for his good work ethic and amazing skills on the ball ⚽️🦔

Great win for the U8’s today against One Touch. Goals came from all over and all types of goal. But the most pleasing bit was seeing the passing to create them. POM shared between Beth and George for getting 5 goals between them and working hard to keep winning the ball back.

U7s were away to Holme Hotspur FC, a good all round team performance. Lots of chances but the ball would not go in the net.
POTM - Jack, his best performance so far. Came back on after a couple of knocks too ⚽️🦔

U8’s with another win, making it 3 on the bounce against good Netherton team and setup. This time last season we couldn’t buy a win or a goal, so it’s great to see how far they have come in a year!

POM went to Mordy for he best display as a 🦔 and his overall hard work.

Very good match again today for our under 13s team! The whole team put in the effort today with goals from Tom, Seb Meeks, Mack and it is Mack this week who picks up POM. Well done hedgehogs ⚽️ 🦔

Back to back wins for the U8’s against Stanground Youths. Great performance from all and some great Goals. POM went to Louis for his team efforts.

Our under 13s were at home today against polonia. Each player battled through and gave it their all. We had some inspiring plays within the match which resulted in the great goals. Our well justified player of the match was Jojo with a skillful performance and her leadership qualities and awareness in the game today. Very well played. Keep going hedgehogs 🦔 ⚽️

U7s had their first win of the season away at Thurlby Tigers Orange. A great team performance but the stand out player was our super stopper Thomas, save after save to keep us in the match and help us win our first game.
