A little late but still relevant. This past weekend the car went to Chateau Speedway, in Lansing, MN for a tune-up before the big dance (Cedar Lake 10K to Win) and #17 came home with more hardware this season! Hope to see more battles this weekend. Congrats to Todd Tacheny and Dan Knish on 1st and 2nd!
Upcoming Races:
-Saturday, September 25th @ Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wisconsin).
-If the car is still in one piece, we might try our luck at Dodge County Speedway on Sunday, September 26th (Kasson, MN) and relive the glory days there!
-Final race of the season (I think) will be back at Chateau Speedway on Oct. 9th!
Good luck to all of the other drivers down this stretch! 🏁

THROWBACK THURSDAY with the OG compact car. The 1.5 Toyota Tercel was unbreakable until Tanner Chadderdon got behind the wheel. 🤪
The car goes 2 for 2 to win BACK TO BACK races within the week!! It was another fast track in Rice County last night. Can’t speak for the old man but it seemed like more of a traditional enduro race. The track was muddy at the start and that’s what we look forward to! Another great race put on by Jeff Nelson and the SMP Enduro staff.
We want to give a shout-out to TANNER CHADDERDON for bringing home some hardware last night. First time in the new car and he gets a third place finish last night. Love to see it!!
Sounded like Andrew Knutson in the 159 was quick last night, picking up 2nd place. Back to back solid finishes for him as well!
Not sure what race is next for us but we’re always looking forward to it.
Thank you to another strong showing in support last night. As well as:

**This first post might be a long one**
After a busy couple of days and a drive back to Omaha, I suppose it’s better late than never to post about the race this past weekend. This car is something special! Probably shouldn’t announce this to the Facebook world but Saturday morning was the first time I had driven the car! Took it for a quick test drive and loaded it into the trailer... As a someone who has been racing for 10 years or so, this is NOT something I recommend!!
The old man had spent a lot of time in the shop after I mentioned to him about potentially coming back to race! He fixed all of the vulnerable spots on the car and got it all ready to go. Prior to this race, it’s been roughly a year and a half since the last time I've been out. The car handled like a dream! The Waseca County Fair Board and SMP Enduros put on a heck of a show. It was great to see a full grandstand for the 2 sets of races! Hopefully an event like this will continue to help grow the sport!!
VonRuden Racing appreciates the overwhelming support from near and far!
Until next time, BEER SHOWERS ALL AROUND.
