Great to be at the finish of the 2026 Dusi Canoe Marathon, proudly supporting our EADP athletes.

After heavy rain overnight, the Dusi River was really full this morning, making for tough, fast and demanding racing conditions.

Congratulations to EADP athlete Saskia Hockly and EADP alumni Christie Mackenzie on being crowned the 2026 champions – a superb performance in challenging conditions.

Well done as well to EADP athlete Msawenkosi Mtolo and EADP alumnus Sibonelo Khwela for an outstanding second-place finish.

Proud of the EADP team.

What a Championship for Zakhiti Nene and Team SA in the 4 x 400m!

Zakhiti finished 5th in the world in the 400m final at the World Athletics Championship in Tokyo, an incredible achievement on its own. He then came back in the rain-soaked 4x400m relay, running a brilliant leg to help secure South Africa’s only medal at the championships: 🥉 BRONZE!

We’re so proud of Zakhiti’s resilience, determination, and world-class performances, as well as the fighting spirit of the entire relay team.
