Nitya Natyashale was proud to be part of the Basava Jayanthi celebrations on 2nd May 2026, organised by Basava Samithi Sydney.
Our students presented Gajavadana Beduve and Naadapriya – Basavanna Vachanas, bringing devotion and vibrant energy to the occasion in the divine presence of Poojya Shri Dr Mahant Prabhu Swamiji. It was a meaningful experience to celebrate Basavanna and share his philosophy with the next generation through dance.

It takes a special kind of dedication to say ‘yes’ to a performance with only three days to prepare. At 8 years old, she did exactly that—practicing hard and performing brilliantly before National Award winner Dattanna Sir on 27th March 2026.
Watching her journey is a joy, and I can’t wait to see her grow as a full-fledged artist. I also felt truly blessed to Emcee the event and share the stage with Dattanna Sir.
Thank you for the opportunity

Proud to see this young student present her first solo at the small gathering organised by Basava Samithi in Sydney — her family are members of the organisation 🤍
After nearly two years of training, she performed a Swarajati with adavus.
A special milestone — wishing her continued growth in this art form ✨

So proud of these three, disciples of Guru !
Long wait, small audience, minimal audio — yet they performed with all their heart. Yesterday wasn’t just a performance; it was a lesson in patience, practice, and perseverance.
Bharathanatyam isn’t just dance — it builds discipline and resilience!
