This ladies bike needed a rear wheel rebuild. New spokes fitted and bearings replaced. It is a very comfortable lightweight bike for commuting or days out. Check it out on marketplace and Google page.

With the days getting shorter being visible on your bike is so important! Make sure you have lights, wear something bright or reflective.

Can you believe it’s November already!? The weather has been unusually mild, which means it’s been much easier to carry on cycling. Of course the clocks have changed now and it’s getting dark, so make sure you wear bright visible colours and have lights on your bike…enjoy the ride 🚲🚲🚲

This is the latest project it's a Sahara Classic mountain bike. It is a 22 inch frame and has 26 inch wheels with 18 Shimano gears. I put new tyres on it new brake cables and chain. It's all running smoothly after a full service and ready to ride again after the previous owner stopped using it.

Went to Leeds City Museum recently, and saw this about ‘The cycling revolution’ talking about the 1890’s when bicycles were starting to take off…we couldn’t help feel that most of it applied to today as well! (Zoom in to read)

Today's project was a Raleigh Mantis mountain bike. The tyres had nasty slits in them due to old age, the rubber starts to disintegrate over time. Sad really as they had loads of tread on them. Anyway stripped it down and serviced it also replaced brake cables as they were sticking. Not it's good to go

Todays project is a Carrera Crossfire hybrid bike. It’s such a well made bike lightweight and has Suntour and SRAM parts on it. It has had a service and a clean and is ready to ride. Would make a good touring bike with it being so lightweight. Check it out on the shop page

Today we cycled from Bristol to bath on our folding bikes. Lovely route winding through the countryside. Rivers and steam trains and coffee. Bikes have a great way of connecting you to your environment and great for mental health.

Just done a silver service on this bike. The owner has looked after it well and has had this bike for many years ( I think since 2007) Nice to work on a bike like this it really shows how a bike can last a very long time if looked after.

This mountain bike was thrown away by someone. So the usual strip down of the bike and restore. Replaced the pedals as they were cracked, the chain as it was stretched, the cassette as it had teeth missing, brake cables also the dodgy tyre renewed and new tube also. Now the bike is lovely to ride all serviced and tuned up. Recycling at its best 👍🏻

Well todays project was this ladies mountain bike. I have serviced the bike put a new tyres on front and new brake pads on the front. All lubricated and gears and brakes running smoothly. I Had help from the cat who is on his apprenticeship. To be honest he is a bit lazy !

Well todays project is this bike. It needed a service, new chain, brake shoes on the back and brake cable. Adjusted gears brakes and crankset which was loose. Also straightened the wheel that had a decent buckle in. Now ready for customer to pick up👍🏻

This bike has been serviced. Had new chain, freewheel, brake cables, and brake shoes. All parts stripped and cleaned and lubed. It is a 12inch frame and has 20 inch wheels. Nice bike for a young person

This is a BMX bike from Halfords recently bought. Sadly the rear hub bearings disintegrated. The customer went back to halfords and they were told “Sorry we don’t have those parts “….. Anyway I was asked to look at the bike and give it a service. First off the hub design is overkill! Halfords said “it’s our latest design”…. Anyway I managed to get replacement parts from Rock Cycles Wallasey. So in my opinion always look for a local independent bike shop. The big stores don’t have the best aftercare. Independent stores can’t afford to lose a customer so will always do their best to help. Anyway bike up and running again and my rant is over 🤣

This is a cute little pink BMX bike with 20 inch wheels. This has been lovingly restored like new again. New parts resprayed greased and lubricated. I am doing a red bike identical so watch he this space ….
