We led our first ruck in 2019.
With the support of our friends and community, we packed backpacks full of period products and marched supplies to the Chicago Period Project.
Fueled by feelings of solidarity from walking through Chicago with strong women, we swore we’d do it again.
As our fundraising campaign for the American Cancer Society comes to a close this month, our conversations with women about heath continue. And if you’re like us, then you love to “walk n’ talk.”
Join us at 9:30a on Sunday, October 22 at Defined Training for a solidarity walk to connect with other like-minded individuals who believe in the many benefits of movement.
〰️SO, WHAT’S A RUCK?
A long-time staple of military training, “rucking” is walking while carrying a load.
We think simple things are often the most effective—and rucking is exactly that: training that combines community, endurance and strength. We know we’re more likely to move and (keep moving) when we do it together. So together, we ruck.
〰️HOW LONG IS IT?
We'll take a three-mile loop from Defined Training to the lake at Montrose Harbor, and back again. You can choose a weight to carry or simply come for a stroll. Being together is what counts most.
