I’ve been fishing Lake Erie with my grandfather since I was a little kid. It was something that I always enjoyed, back in the day we didn’t have it so easy, it was all word of mouth. We would spend a lot of time on the lake trying different techniques and areas. There was no Facebook reports or anything like that we would talk to loads of different people just to see what was going on. Over the years I became very dedicated to walleye fishing and spending time on the lake.

Well… Erie decided the weather man didn’t know what he was talking about today! 😂🌊

Forecast said 2 ft or less… Erie said, “Hold my beer.” 🤦‍♂️

We had 3–5 ft waves with some 6s mixed in, and it got pretty nasty out there. We heard about a couple smaller boats that capsized, but thankfully everyone was rescued and made it back safely. That’s a good reminder that Lake Erie deserves a LOT of respect when she gets angry.

We started the morning drifting and managed to get one limit in the box, but with those waves we just couldn’t keep the lines down where we needed them.

Time to make a change — we switched over to trolling and went to work. 🎣

Finished filling the box and headed for home…

…and somewhere along the way we started smelling maple syrup. 😂😂

That was one LONG ride back to the dock! 🚤💨🌊

But we made it back safe with a full box of fish, and that’s what matters!

Yesterday we had another great day on the water! We had to wait it out in the morning while a big storm rolled through, but once we got out there, the fish were ready to cooperate.

We put 42 fish in the cooler before the second storm started moving in. We only got a picture of the cooler because we were too busy trying to beat the rain!

The fish are DEEP right now!

Took a week off from charter fishing and got the chance to do some fishing for myself with family and a few good friends in Olcott, New York! 🎣

The salmon fishing was absolutely amazing. We definitely had our ups and downs—some days we felt like we were doing everything right and couldn’t keep rods in the water, while other days we struggled just to get a few bites. That’s fishing!

It’s a whole different ball game up there, and every day can be completely different. But we kept grinding, made adjustments, and powered through the tough days.

In the end, we had an awesome week, made some great memories, and came home with a TON of fish! 🐟🔥

Now it’s time to get back to putting my customers on them! 🎣💪
Walleye fishing is still on fire and I expected to be. At least the end of September. I do still have dates available. Give me a call to book them now.

Took a few days to come up here, Salmon Fishing with family! The bite has been pretty good! Thanks FishUSA for having everything I needed! Got a couple nice ones on the 400 weighted steel today!

Had a great afternoon! Sunday’s trip, we only needed 18 fish, so I went out a lot deeper than I’ve been fishing, looking for bigger fish. It didn’t end up too bad!
I do have some dates available at the end of August and through September!

Another Prospect VFD Raffles trip Saturday morning and it was another great trip. The fish are down deep and most of the fish came on Dipsys and downriggers 50-65 feet down.
Ran a Saturday afternoon trip and the bite was a little slower, but we still picked at them and got our limit plus a huge catfish came on the dipsys rod!

Great morning on the water today with one of the winners of the Prospect VFD Raffles raffle! They were fast on the rods and caught on quick. We got a good quality box of fish today! First fish of the day was a steelhead!

Another great morning on the water! Bandits with 3 and 4 ounce snap weights were the ticket today! Gonna have to pick up a few more of the FishUSA flagship rods to complete the boat set (i’m loving the 8’ telescopic for my board rods)! We were fishing anywhere from 72 to 78 foot of water today! Heading back for round 2!
