My name is Marcus Ross, most friends and family call me Rossie. Im from Marion Louisiana, I go to Union Parish High School and I play football: Cornerback, Safety, Wide receiver. I also play basketball, baseball, and I run track.
Q&A
1. Who has had the biggest influence on you as a football player, and why?
A big influence as a football player i would say my 2 cousins Jayden Washington and Quondarius Qualls, they keep me going and on the right track. They also went to Union and did big things but we are all competitive, I think im the best athlete in the family but they dont think so😂
2. When the game is on the line, what do you want your teammates to know they can expect from you?
When the Game is on the line I want my teammates to know im gonna do whatever i need to so i can put the Team in the best position possible.
3. What did you work on the most this offseason, and where have you seen the biggest improvement in your game?
This offseason I was mainly focused on Cornerback since I have a offer for that position, but i was also focused on Wide Receiver. Lately i’ve been seeing the most improvement on the Defensive side of the ball.
4. What do you want people to remember about you when your high school football career is over?
I want everyone to think of the name Marcus Ross when someone mentions Union Parish High School.
5. Who is a teammate you feel doesn’t get enough recognition? What does he bring to the team?
Senior, Tj Wallace and Junior, Chance Hopson (2028), they are both great factors to the team and you can always count on them to make a play.
6. What are your plans after graduation?
After Graduating I plan on going to college to play football and getting a degree in Business.
7. What’s your favorite memory so far from playing football at Union Parish?
My favorite memory so far has to be from my Freshman year when we won the 3a Non Select State Championship in 2023.
8. What are the top 3 songs on your pregame playlist that get you ready for Friday night?
Thats a hard question i really dont listen to music before the game.
9. Do you have any pregame rituals, routines, or superstitions that help you get locked in before kickoff?
After school I go to the field house and take a nap. Before we walk out of the locker room I find some space to myself and pray. Before the coin toss I pray again.
10. Nominate one teammate you think should be spotlighted next on Meet the Farmers.
Tj Wallace
