🎯 Travis Pihlman, 2025 INBF Mr. Connecticut Lightweight Champion

✅ Travis transformed every single pose this year and it’s not an exaggeration. From the symmetry poses to his muscularity shots, he dialed it in HARD and took to it to the stage. The thing with certain competitors is that some practice really well, but when it’s game time they don’t rise to the occasion. Travis is not one of those athletes. He nailed it in the practice room and did the same thing under the lights, where it counts most. That is a sign of a real competitor.

😤 I can’t wait for next season when you’ve added pounds of muscle to your already crazy physique! Let’s GO!

An unbelievable act of kindness from Add (I hope I’m spelling his name correctly 😁). If anyone has his Instagram handle, please send it my way. Shoulders- 4x Week/48 Sets
Quads- 4x Week/22 Sets
Hamstrings- 2x Week/18 Sets
Glutes- 2x Week/6 Sets
Calves- 2x Week/10 Sets
Core- 2x Week/8 Sets (4 Sets Re**us Abdominis/4 Sets Obliques)

Back in the late 2010’s, I got to finally meet up with my training coach & mentor, Jason Tremblay . We trained with my old friend from New York, Rob Ali , who was one of the strongest natural powerlifters I’ve ever seen. Hopefully we’ll see eachother again soon.

💪🏼 Fix Your Side Chest Pose 💪🏼

❌ Mistakes

1. Keeping our shoulders turned away from the judges.
2. Contracting the pectoral muscle closest to the judges.
3. Contracting the quadricep and hamstring facing the judges, which reduces the “sweep” and size of our front leg.
4. Dropping our ribcage excessively.
5. Leaving too much space in between our arms and torso.

✅ Fixes

1. Turning our shoulders TOWARDS the judges WITHOUT turning our hips.
2. Pushing our BACK shoulder into our BACK pectoral, while letting our FRONT pectoral muscle stay relaxed.
3. Pushing our BACK knee/quad into our FRONT leg’s hamstring to increase the “sweep” of our front leg, while keeping our front leg more or less relaxed.
4. Keeping our ribcage high to further elevate our chest, which gives us the appearance of having a bigger chest than we may have.
5. Closing the space between our arms and torso. Everything should be TIGHT to the body.
