Ladies B Grade Singles Final
Today saw the final of the Ladies B Grade Singles between Penny McLeod and Jan Yule.
The scoreline does not fully reflect the quality of the game, with both players producing some brilliant shots throughout the morning. Jan started strongly and the match was closely contested early before Penny found her rhythm and gradually built a handy lead.
In perfect bowling conditions, Penny went on to claim the title 25–12.
Huge congratulations Penny on becoming our 2026 Ladies B Grade Singles Champion. 🏆
Well played Jan, and congratulations to both players on a great final.

2026 Mixed Pairs Championship Final
After nearly nine weeks of stop-start play and weather interruptions, the 2026 Mixed Pairs Championship was finally decided under brilliant blue skies today.
Congratulations to Pat Auld and Peter Kukums, who defeated Jan and Les Yule 20–17 in an entertaining final. After Jan and Les claimed the early advantage, Pat and Peter took control through the middle stages of the game, building a nine-shot lead before a determined late comeback from the Yules reduced the final margin to just three shots.
Well played to all competitors who battled through a rain-affected championship to reach today's final. 🏆

Wednesday Ladies Bowls coincided with State of Origin, so it was a sea of blue and maroon on the greens.
With some very questionable scoring tactics from both sides, Queensland’s narrow victory is still very much under dispute. Regardless of the final result, the morning’s enjoyable bowls was followed by an equally enjoyable lunch.
If you think you might enjoy being part of something like this, come and join us.🤸♀️🏆
