Etown Blues players and coaches at NAI 7s in Salt Lake City, Utah. The boys played against the best players in their age groups from around the country. Atlantis Rugby Academy runs player identification camps a couple of times per year. Some of our players were selected based on their performance at those camps and while playing in Rugby PA competitions.
The players practiced for two days in Utah leading up to the tournament. The tournament hosted almost 2,000 players. It was extremely high level rugby. Having Etown Blues players participate in camps, clinics and high level competition only makes our program stronger.
The boys learned valuable lessons about the game of 7s and of the overall culture of rugby.
It’s a beautiful sport.
Etown 7s Tournament this Saturday, July 15 at Kraybill Elementary School 598 Kraybill Church Road, Mount Joy PA.
Rookie Rugby begins at 8:00 AM followed by the 7s tournament.
Over 20 teams are registered including a girls division for the first time in program history.
Come support the Blues and all of the players who choose to play the wonderful sport of rugby.
Coaches Blake and Kenny had the privilege to coach an Atlantis U16 Boys team at St Ignatius High School in Cleveland over the weekend.
The competition level was very high with teams from all over the country. Several players made their first appearance for Atlantis including Etown Blues’ own Kai Laszakovits.
Justin Kaplan was also playing at the tournament playing with EIRA. Etown Coach Kevin Erkstine helped coach that squad of young rugby players.

3 Lancaster County teams work their way to Pennsylvania Rugby state championships Through toughness and confidence, three Lancaster County squads secured rugby state titles recently.
A couple of Blues players participated in an Altlantis player identification camp in Wilmington, DE today. Francis and Kai worked hard throughout the six hour event. They suited up against each other in the U16 scrimmage at the end of the day and didn’t hold anything back. Both boys represented the Blues well and demonstrated their rugby IQ and tackling abilities.
Thanks to Atlantis Rugby for organizing such a great event for young rugby players.
We've got a camp coming up in Wilmington, Delaware! Hit the link for registration!

Our Youth (Grades 5-7) and Junior (Grades 8-9) competed at Coventry 7s Tournament Saturday. Both teams made their way to the finals. The youth placed 2nd and the Junior Etown Blues placed 1st.
Thanks to coach Ray, Skinny and Paula for taking such good care of the kids on a long hot day. Thanks to the parents who also spent their Saturday on the sidelines cheering on their Blues while also keeping them hydrated and well-nourished.
Two Etown Blues players were invited to compete at the North America Invitational 7s tournament in Salt Lake City, Utah for Atlantis U14s. The players trained hard and learned a lot about the game and culture of rugby. Etown Blue player Francis Burke was named captain of the team. Leeland Baughman was the other Blue player to earn a spot on the roster.
The team competed in the Elite division in their age bracket. They played teams primarily from the west coast. They went 3-3 and placed 7th out of 16 teams in their bracket.
