Update: it’s been a long road to getting these jawbreaker lures to the manufacturing stage to meet demand. I’ve still got a few kinks to work out but will be updating as soon as they are ready and we are proud to say they will be produced 100 percent in the USA!! Add any soft bait like chicken liver or store bought bait that gets soggy like shad ect and stop worrying if that turtle or perch got your bait. I will repost when they are ready to go. Working on the next set for tomorrow!
I call it kenfolk because I wanted to create a product for fishermen by fishermen for the guys and gals who understand the struggles of fishing and having your baits stolen at the end of the day. I’ve spent too many years with “bare hooks” in the water.I don’t make much off these lures I dont get these lures from China like almost everything you buy today by “ American made companies” some do make them here but it’s far less than than u might think. Most dont.some still do. I set out with a goal to help out our guys and gals catch fish here the way we fish. I have over 30 years fishing. I want to thank all of our customers personally. I created these originally for catfishing as I’m Oklahoma born and bred but I ship these all over the country for all different fisheries. I’m in the works currently from over seas guys to make a cross I’ve as well, they will still be built right here in the United States as long as I am building these. I’ve been on radio shows ect… about these lures and what my product is bringing to the industry. It’s all because of you guys!!!!! Keep catching and quit guessing whether or not that bite took your bait!! As always you can find these at kenfolkbaits.com I post on my page each week a day ahead of my drop to the website. !

I get alot of people who ask me questions and I thank you all for it! I try to get to all of my messages. All of my lures are built by hand by me in my shop. I don’t buy blanks from China like most lure companies and just paint them. I’m in the process of getting my lures manufactured in USA not China. I’m a small shop out of Tulsa ok. I’ve been catfishing for 30 years plus. my jawbreakers apply to any fish that will eat cut bait. I ship these to all over the United States for both freshwater and saltwater and I’m getting orders from out of the country as well now. I do a weekly bait drop to my website kenfolkbaits.com I announce the weekly bait drop a day ahead of time on my page. My great grandfather taught me everything I know for the most part as a survivor of Normandy in ww2 he grew up as a poor cotton farmer with a 6th grade education. He wasn’t educated in the traditional sense but he was a great catfisherman and he passed this on to me as he was like a father to me. They had to catch fish on the verdigris river bottoms during the depression just to eat. They were known locally as (river rats) I’ve taken all of my years of fishing with this great man and the lessons learned and I designed these lures in order to combat alot of the issues we fish as cat fishermen and even other species. They grew up without the sponsors or money that is often involved today but they were the ones ultimately that taught all of us how to do this great sport we all love or you wouldn’t be reading this past the first few sentences. they did really well fishing with means such as lye soap or whatever else they could get catfish to eat. They were pretty smart, they had to be or they wouldn’t eat. Those tactics for soft baits worked back then just as they do today. What I’ve done is to help eliminate a lot of the issues with soft baits and even frozen shad and treble hooks, and made it where we can fish them with circle hooks and help (CPR) by them not gut hooking themselves with soft baits and treble hooks that often get swallowed by a fish. I take my share of catfish for food for my family but if I catch a large fish that’s mature I release it for reproduction and gene purposes and so maybe some kid can catch it later and get him involved in our great sport. This product allows me to fish in all situations in heavy current ect, as well as ponds which is why I build them in 3 different sizes to target our 3 main catfish species. and I only get two outcomes, I either have a bait after a hit, or I have a fish. It stops the guessing as I have spent way too many hours with either a bare hook or it had bait and I removed it from a potential giants mouth out of questioning the outcome of the strike. I’ve spent 30 years fishing for catfish. I wish I could get back all the time I’ve spent getting a hit and questioning whether or not it stole my bait, especially in heavy current situations. I can’t tell you how many times I got a hit and decided to bring in my bait after a lull in the action only to find one of two things had happened I had either left my bait out there without bait on it for longer than needed or I pulled it in and removed it from a potential giants mouth. This product leaves out the guessing as to which of the two outcomes is happening. With this you either 1) have a bait or 2) you have a fish…….. no in between. Stop the guessing and hours spent fishing with bare hooks.
