It's great to have Cloggers who are happy to cue. Many hands make light work. Thanks everyone, especially Marissa.
What is clogging? It is a tap style dance that originated in the Appalachian Mountains in the US.

Here's a throwback to 2022. Remember, Aussie Clog starts with a social dance on Friday 5 June - register at https://www.confidancecloggers.com/event-details/aussie-clog-2026 for all or part of the weekend and join us for a great time.
Clogging is a fun and energetic percussive dance style performed in shoes with jingle (double) taps. Rhythms are created by striking the shoe heel or toe against the floor.

We had a great time at the Mt Gravatt Show on Saturday. Thanks to the dancers who came and danced, and to the dancers who came for support.
Those dance boards take some getting used to!
It's always a good time when you're dancing. 😀💃 Here's a bit of "Wash The World Away" by Mark Lavender Musician

Adult Beginners Clogging Classes start tomorrow, Thursday 4 April 2024 at 5.15pm. The first class is free - come and see what we do and have a go.
Where: Lions Club Hall, Nathan Road, Runcorn - next to the Runcorn Train Station car park.
When: 5.15 - 5.50pm.
Cost: 1st class free; subsequent classes (all levels) cost $10.
What do I wear: Comfortable exercise clothes and shoes that aren't too "grippy" - you need to be able to brush your foot across the floor.
Who is this suitable for: Adults, no prior dance experience necessary, but if you used to Tap Dance, you will already know some of the steps.
How long before I can dance: From the first class you will be able to dance simple dances, and you will learn new steps each week. The Beginners Program lasts 9 weeks and after that you can join our regular classes.
Cloggers learn steps, not routines, and all regular dances are cued (called).
